This Bailout Bidness

I am going to cop out and say I don't have the answer to this one. I understand the angst that comes from giving fuck-ups and fat cats another 70 Billion when we say we can't afford health care but I also know I have a 64 year old Mother who is losing money quickly and she doesn't want to work until she is 94.

Here is what I do know.

John McFilthy "suspended" his campaign until this "crisis" was dealt with. By the way, where I was I saw several McFilthy commercials AFTER he said he wouldn't be running commercials or campaigning.

McFilthy said he wasn't going to debate Obama until the crisis was solved. He debated anyway.

McFilthy claimed responsibility along with his surrogates this morning when it looked like the bill would pass.

The Republicans in Congress sabotaged Mcfilthy's campaign by voting down the bill adding yet one more nail to the 750 year old's coffin.

McFilthy then said Obama phoned it in while he worked for a solution ( In fact McFilthy was the one "phoning" it in)

McFilthy then blamed Obama for the bill not passing then said it wasn't time to pass blame.

Sarah McNasty made a snide joke about how old Joe Biden is to cheers from the crowd who were either too fucking drunk or much like the Sarahcuda herself too fucking stupid to see the irony since the man at the head of her ticket is 750 years old.

McFilthy then was shown accompaning his Daughter err VP nominee Sarah McNasty (Because she can't handle these though questions on her own and needs her daddy there) Where he cried about "gotcha" journalism because Sarah was asked about Pakistan when she was out at the bar looking for dick...err Votes and answered the question the way McFilthy didn't want her too.

Monday Night Football Thread

Every Monday night game I am reminded of the biggest waste of talent maybe ever. Al-Qaida Threatens 'October Surprise' Attack

After two major terrorist attacks in Pakistan and Yemen — along with a new U.S. push at insurgent strongholds along the Afghan border — U.S. intelligence is worried about a massive "October surprise" attack geared to sway the U.S. elections.

America's military and intelligence agencies intercepted a series of messages from al-Qaida's leadership last month that seemed designed to warn local cells to prepare for imminent attacks. Quantum Of Solace To Be Shortest Bond Movie Ever

The poll, conducted with Stanford University, suggests that the percentage of voters who may turn away from Obama because of his race could easily be larger than the final difference between the candidates in 2004 — about two and one-half percentage points.

Certainly, Republican John McCain has his own obstacles: He's an ally of an unpopular president and would be the nation's oldest first-term president. But Obama faces this: 40 percent of all white Americans hold at least a partly negative view toward blacks, and that includes many Democrats and independents.

More than a third of all white Democrats and independents — voters Obama can't win the White House without — agreed with at least one negative adjective about blacks, according to the survey, and they are significantly less likely to vote for Obama than those who don't have such views.

Such numbers are a harsh dose of reality in a campaign for the history books. Obama, the first black candidate with a serious shot at the presidency, accepted the Democratic nomination on the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech, a seminal moment for a nation that enshrined slavery in its Constitution.

In fact, if we review the actual poll - rather than Fournier's spin - it provides very good news for those that want Obama to win.

taxes, and social issues the better Democrats are going to do in North Carolina,” said Dean Debnam, President of Public Policy Polling. “That’s the direction the election is headed right now and if it remains on that course the state is going to be extremely competitive.”

I honestly doubt that McCain's in danger of losing NC, but if by some act of God, NC were still tied or if Obama has some slight lead in the state toward election day, McCain and the RNC are screwed.

From the photos, the man - dubbed Bank Robber BOB, appears to be a well-dressed businessman.

According to FBI Agent in Charge James H. Davis, "Bob" left a trail of blood as he fled from the scene wearing cowboy boots, dark slacks, a blue shirt and tie.

The man had entered the bank, approached a teller and passed a note demanding money.

Davis said the man may have run to a white 1970s pickup with older Colorado license plates with white letters over a green background.

I got a CD of Johnny Cash singing in Swedish Prison called Pa Osteraker. A part-time English teacher at Metropolitan State College is under fire from conservatives after he allegedly told students to write essays critiquing Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

The adjunct instructor, Andrew Hallam, has not been available for comment since one of his students went to a Denver TV station with an allegation that he bullied and harrassed conservative students.

Hallam is teaching two classes this semester, his first at Metro State, according to the school.

Today, Republican legislators in Colorado called for "immediate corrective action" against Hallam.

"Good grief, this is supposed to be an English class," Republican state Sen. Mike Kopp of Littleton stated on the GOP legislative website Coloradosenate.com.

"Once again, it looks like an academic at a publicly supported college in our state is using his classroom as a soapbox for his personal politics. And he is trampling on students' free speech in the process -- actually telling them what opinions they are allowed to express."

According to the conservative news website WorldNetDaily.com., Hallam assigned students to write about Palin, noting "her body language, facial expressions, the way she dressed, what she said and who she pointed out or talked about in her speech. How do these elements form a 'fairy tale' image about Sarah Palin as a person and as a politician that the Republican Party may wish its members and the American public to believe?"

What we have learned is that the usual suspects are behind this. The Media Matters types, the Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting types, they are the people putting together Obama ads. Obama’s new, right? Obama’s into unity, Obama’s into change, he’s using the same old Democrat Party flacks, the same hacks. The budget watchdog Taxpayers for Common Sense has released an analysis of earmark requests in the 2009 Defense Authorization bill, finding 435 earmarks worth $5.2 billion. Today, McCain economic adviser Carly Fiorina bluntly stated that neither John McCain nor Sarah Palin were capable of running a major corporation (she said the same of Barack Obama and Joseph Biden). A top campaign adviser said Fiorina will be punished for her candid sentiments:

“Carly will now disappear,” this source said. “Senator McCain was furious.” Asked to define “disappear,” this source said, adding that she would be off TV for a while – but remain at the Republican National Committee and keep her role as head of the party’s joint fundraising committee with the McCain campaign.

Fiorina was booked for several TV interviews over the next few days, including one on CNN. Those interviews have been canceled.

The thread is about how they are hiding McNasty from talking to the trooper investigator but BoyToy is trying to change the subject to Obama's elitism. This is what he does. (CNN) — A top aide to John McCain said Monday she thought comedian Tina Fey's impersonation of Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin on NBC's Saturday Night Live over the weekend was sexist because it portrayed the Alaska governor as lacking in substance.

The NBC comedy show's season premiere began with a "nonpartisan message" during which Fey's Palin and Amy Poehler's depiction of Hillary Clinton called for an end to sexism in the presidential race.

"The portrait was very dismissive of the substance of Sarah Palin, and so in that sense, they were defining Hillary Clinton as very substantive, and Sarah Palin as totally superficial," Fiorina told MSNBC earlier Monday. "I think that continues the line of argument that is disrespectful in the extreme, and yes, I would say, sexist in the sense that just because Sarah Palin has different views than Hillary Clinton does not mean that she lacks substance."

The former Hewlett-Packard CEO is among McCain's most high profile surrogates and earlier this month was the first member of the Arizona senator's campaign to suggest Democrats were launching sexist attacks at the Republican VP candidate.

"I am appalled by the Obama campaign's attempts to belittle Governor Sarah Palin’s experience,” Fiorina said then. “The facts are that Sarah Palin has made more executive decisions as a Mayor and Governor than Barack Obama has made in his life."

Fiorina, along with other high-profile female backers of McCain, held a press conference at the Republican National Convention criticizing the Obama campaign and the media for what they said were sexist comments about Palin.

"I think one of the things Hillary Clinton's run for the presidency did is attune women's ears to sexist attacks…. Many people have demeaned or belittled [Palin's] experience — and as women, we all know how frequently that happens. This is a well qualified candidate for the vice presidency," she said.

The Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge^[3] is a 3,000 ft (910 m) footbridge across the Missouri River between Council Bluffs, Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska. It is scheduled to open on 2008-09-28.^[2]

Interest in a landmark bridge across the Missouri River has arisen ever since Omaha and Council Bluffs began replacing their older crossings with girder bridges which do not have towers (most notably the Ak-Sar-Ben Bridge).^{[citation needed]} The bridge is named after former Nebraska Senator Bob Kerrey, who secured $18 million of federal funding for the bridge in 2000^[3].

The bridge was redesigned in 2004, after the lowest bid for the project was $44 million. In May 2006, a final cable-stayed bridge design by Kansas City engineering and architectural firm HNTB was selected for the bridge. The $22 million bid included two 200-foot (61 m) towers and a clearance of 52 feet (16 m) above the river. Groundbreaking for construction of the bridge occurred on October 26, 2006.^[1]

The bridge is north of the I-480 girder bridge and connects the Port of Omaha's Miller Landing in Omaha to One Renaissance Center in the former Dodge Park Playland in Council Bluffs

So we built a pedestrian bridge from Omaha to Council Bluffs. Why you ask? Fuck if I know. But it's purdy and expensive. Plus on the other end of it...there's Council Fucking Bluffs in all it's white trash glory. We are constantly told this clown is the best ref in the NFL and he works Superbowl after Superbowl. Yet he fucks up more games than any other Referee. If you saw the Chargers-Broncos game you saw him fuck up another game. Of course he made a "human error" nevermind the damage caused by that error. If the Chargers come down to being one game out of the playoffs I am sure Hochuli's fuck up will be forgotten.

The box was meant as political satire, said Mark Whitlock and Bob DeMoss, two writers from Franklin, Tenn., who created the mix. They sold it for $10 a box from a rented booth at the summit sponsored by the lobbying arm of the Family Research Council.

I have to ask: the people who helped create this crap; the Values Voter Summit - exactly what kind of family values are they trying to promote with this? That it's fine to instill racially inappropriate and offensive stereotypes about groups that aren't white to young children?

After reading about Queen Sarah's wont for a war with Russia I made reference to this song by the Kingston Trio on TP today. A reference I am sure I am the only person under say 60 understood
