The Crazy one is going off about Canada and madmen and Socialized medicine and Wendy's and whatever. Anyway in 2005 when the Contessa and I were on our honeymoon we stopped (though we didn't stay) at Niagara falls. We stayed at some town maybe 45 miles way that started with a B I am sorry to all my Canadian friends but I can't remember the name of the town... I think Wayne Gretzky was born there...anywho...
I have been told this before but I couldn't believe the stark difference in Niagara Falls, Ontario and Niagara Falls, New York. Niagara Falls, Canada is like Canuck Vegas. There are casinos and tourist traps and the works. Niagara Falls, New York is... a shit hole. I mean a really crappy shit hole. I mean a shit, shit, shitty, shitty hole. And despite what the crazy one would have you believe it was this way BEFORE Hillary.
You See why those crazy Canadians decided to take their biggest tourist attraction and make money off of the tourist...Niagara Falls New York decided to try and make money off of one failed industry after the other.
Just a stones throw from the hotels where newlywed couples are sharing the their first moments as man in wife ( I kept it clean :)) are blocks and blocks of houses that look like...
And...

Brantford Ontario.
The main tourist drag in N.F. on the Canada side is like one huge sideshow, that's for sure! 18-hole glow-in-the-dark mini-golf, more wax museums in a 6-block space than you would ever have thought possible: tourist trap after tourist trap. And, of course, the casinos. Not a high-minded, refined place by any means...but at least clean and bustling.
The contrast you describe reminds me of doing trade shows in Atlantic City. Obscenely huge hotels and malls and such in the Boardwalk area, and the rest of the town varying degrees of squalor.
That said, the only thing Ralph forgot to include in his rant is the idea that not only socialized medicine but enforced mass transit - aka, Greyhound - would be part of Hillary's evil master plan...
Amazingly I never once went in to those Casinos. Now I don't gamble today like I use to but Passing by a Casino and not going in is not something I make a habit of. I wish I would have gone in just to get some cards...I wouldn't have gambled honest... :)
