It's a gorgeous night here and it's Saturday which means the fireworks show is loud and it will be long. I would love to go watch some of it but my Animals are so scared that I am staying in playing Sinatra ETC to calm them down. Good man or Sap? Anyway I am thinking about sneaking out for a bit. I actually feel pretty good.

Evening, Count. Good for you staying in to settle the animals! Fireworks in the streets were pretty common in OR for the occasion and the cats always freaked out.
We have had a "slow news day," so to speak, as it was upwards of 90 again today, very still, with the A/C still out (though it's set for the replacement unit to be installed on Thursday). Kept our heads down and did quiet things apart from kiddo having a run in the sprinklers - still fun, even at 15, apparently! And I made homemade strawberry ice cream using berries from a farm about a mile and a half away. Delish!
I'll even give you a spoonful, Ralph, if you'll let up on the yelling. Ranger...not so much.
late, but I spent the night at the beach. they had fireworks but they were kind of lame. saw a a couple of people get arrested, took 2 1/2 hours to get home. place was packed
