Ted Stevens Found Quilty On All 7 Counts.

Ted Stevens Guilty

WASHINGTON - Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens was convicted of corruption charges Monday in a trial that tainted the 40-year Senate career of Alaska's political patriarch.

Stevens, 84, was convicted of all seven charges he faced of lying about free home renovations and other gifts he received from a wealthy oil contractor. Jurors began deliberating Wednesday at noon.

Stevens faces up to five years in prison on each count when he is sentenced Jan. 26, but under federal sentencing guidelines, he is likely to receive much less prison time, if any.

See if The Count were judge here would be his sentence. No prison time. After all the prison he would be sent to would have a tennis court and a golf course anyway, but Ted would have to spend the rest of his life at a 6th rate retirement facility. So he could witness first hand the health care mess that he and his buddies have helped to create.

I think today's news is great for one Sarah Palin and have said so on Newshounds and Think Progress. This opens up an office she can run for in 2012 and she could probably win it. Then in 2016 she can run for President and claim experience having been a Governor and a Senator. Do I think she would ever get elected president? No. But this could only help her try. It's her best path as a mater of fact. IF she is not to impatient or too stupid to got his route. Which will probably be the case. Too impatient or too stupid.

I have just been corrected on TP senate seats last 6 years it would be 2014 when she could run meaning she could run for president in 2020 making her 56. Still it's her best route.
