I'm ashamed that this Congressman hails from a San Diego county district

Duncan Hunter believes that we should deport children whose parents are undocumented immigrants.

"Would you support deportation of natural-born American citizens that are the children of illegal aliens," Hunter was asked. "I would have to, yes," Hunter said. "... We simply cannot afford what we're doing right now," he said. "... It takes more than just walking across the border to become an American citizen. It's what's in our souls. ..."

Too dumbfounded to respond to this right now. Count or Ralphyfan, have at it.
I'll have something to say about the Republican resurgance of immigrant bashing and the larger picture of us either tomorrow or Friday.

Didn't this fucker run for president? Somebody ask me if Obama was going to get re-elected. there is no doubt in my mind. And the Duncan Hunters of the world are the reason why.

What about the guy in Iowa who suggested micro-chipping undocumented aliens? How is that any different than, say, requiring German schoolchildren of a certain faith to wear yellow stars on their jackets? Why aren't so-called responsible conservative voices - if any such exist any more - standing up and calling out this idiotic bigotry for what it is?

This trend of demonizing anybody who isn't a Well-off Paunchy Older White Male is reaching new lows daily. Something's gotta give and I worry it isn't going to be pretty.

Get ready guys.

We are going to see more and more and more outrageous and stupid suggestions from the wingnutz.

On the other hand, I am glad these idiots are AGAIN showing what racist fucks they are.

I was just watching a documentary on the evolution of the Broadway musical, and in talking about the sociopolitical climate in which "Cabaret" debuted, its producer referenced a photo essay in "Life" on the Aryan supremacists of the day. Young thugs the equivalent of skinheads harrassing black schoolchildren, and one of them with a sign touting "segretion [sic.] forever."

Neither their points of view nor their spelling have improved with the years...

And now Arizona is at it again...apparently it is now also illegal to be caught Teaching While Hispanic:

...the Tucson Unified School District's popular Mexican-American studies department is the target here. The state superintendent charges that the program exhibits "ethnic chauvinism."

Meanwhile, in a move that was more covert until the Wall Street Journal uncovered it, the Arizona Department of Education has told schools that teachers with "heavy" or "ungrammatical" accents are no longer allowed to teach English classes.

I'm calling it - Arizona is now officially more likely to secede first, rather than Texas. They can take Duncan Hunter with them.
