I hate the Islamic Reactionaries and the Christian Right because the pair are two heads of the same destructive coin and they don't even know it, or if they do know it, they don't give a damn.
I hate the L.A. Dodgers because i'm a Padres fan, and Padres fans hate the Blue Bombers on principle and the damn Yankees for kicking our asses in the '98 World Series.
I hate what the Republican Party has devolved into: a cynical party, feeding off old prejudices, people's fears about the next terrorist attack, and ignorance to have them vote against their own best interests.
I hate (most) reality TV. There's nothing real about it.
I most especially hate politicians who wrap themselves in faux patriotism, and criticize anyone who doesn't agree with their warped thinking as un-American.
Now, I don't like using this term on Sarah Palin, but after reading her newest piece, that basically calls on her followers to question President Obama's love to this country, but this bitch is really pushing it.
Asked this week about his faltering efforts to advance the Middle East peace process, President Obama did something remarkable. In front of some 47 foreign leaders and hundreds of reporters from all over the world, President Obama said that “whether we like it or not, we remain a dominant military superpower.”
Whether we like it or not? Most Americans do like it.
You know, this would be an outrage...if that wasn't all that he said on being a military superpower.
But what we can make sure of is, is that we are constantly present, constantly engaged, and setting out very clearly to both sides our belief that not only is it in the interests of each party to resolve these conflicts but it’s also in the interest of the United States. It is a vital national security interest of the United States to reduce these conflicts because whether we like it or not, we remain a dominant military superpower, and when conflicts break out, one way or another we get pulled into them. And that ends up costing us significantly in terms of both blood and treasure.
Any mention of him dissing role as a military superpower? None. The President wants other nations to solve their conflicts peacefully, because we're the ones who'll have to take sides should shit hit the fan and we'll be losing both money and lives, and we want to avoid that worst-case scenario at any cost.
Palin's smear job of Obama goes to a much deeper matter: the ultra-conservative approach to handling domestic policy: 1st warning - threaten county with war. 2nd warning - there is no second warning. Get the bombs and ammo ready, we're going halfway across the world to straighten out some punk bitches! Yippie-ki-yay, motherfuckers! [/sarcasm]
Acting like the world's bully and threatening the other country with air strikes should be the last resort, not the first option brought up in the war room. These issues - loose nuclear materials, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Al-Qaeda - are a matter of life-and-death. This isn't the time to act out on your Die Hard/24 fantasies and start busting down doors and breaking kneecaps for information on how to find the bad guy.

Starting to? She's the poster child for the anti America movement so anything she says about improving America means nothing. Like most of us she has no intention of improving something she hates with such a passion.
