I was hoping this was the product of a local mid market newscast. But When I showed the picture to the Contessa she said she sees these kind of mistakes all of the time on CNN.
It's really quite sad. And even sadder is how so many, when called out on it, try to elevate their malapropisms or stupid typos - in a position where they have a responsibility to do better, let's be honest - to a virtue. You know, like Sarah "Shakespeare-Made-Words-Up-Too" Palin. Ignorance truly is, it seems, bliss!
