The Boortz Butt-Boys And Boortz Whores Are back Part 1.

Boortz and Hannity are Right

Personally I think Democrat Party and Democratic Party are both equally offensive.I think we should start calling them what they are- The American Socialist Party.
The truth hurts doesn't it? Everything he said was true, don't agree, back it up with facts.

Think the education system is working just fine?? Check out this site, it makes me sick with the sheer stupidity.

http://community.discovery.com/e...rm/f/ 9701967776

Go back a page and check out any forum, show ides, critics or current show, and you'll see the same amount of stupidity.

The unions should be abolished, and a complete merit system should be installed for accountability.
All these comments. How juvenile. First the name calling: Neal Bore, Boortz is what comes out of a colon, on and on. Give it a rest. All your name calling proves is that you lack the ability to debate in the arena of ideas. If you have nothing to offer other than name-calling, shut-up and just listen. Also the word neocon; This is the favorite word the radical liberals like to use to denigrate conservatives. Stop drinking the koolaid. Perhaps conservatives should just start calling anyone just left of center a freaking commie.

About teacher’s unions. Almost every comment here tries to imply Boortz has something against teachers. I don’t think that is true. He does have something against their union which is an out-of-control political action committee seeking ways to indoctrinate their way of political thought (socialism) on our children and to put an end to private education and home schooling.

Why am I even wasting my time writing this. As if it’s going to make a difference or change the mind of some rabid left-wing socialist commie bed-wetting America hater.

If you’re not a liberal at age 24, you have no heart. If you’re not a conservative at age 40, you have no brain.

Too rich! We have the News Hounds writing say the following: "That was just the first of many attempts to paint Americans with whom he disagrees as equivalent to enemy combatants." Then you enter the enlightened comments section and see conservatives compared to fascists.

Go Neal! The left in this country is hopeless. They confuse emotion with logical thought, and government with charity. And for people who are supposedly all for "peace, love, and tolerance", leftists are the most hateful and intolerant people on the planet (with the exception of Islamic Fascists) when they encounter someone who has a different opinion.

BTW, do you people even know what the term "neocon" means? Most definitions I've seen refer to them as "recent converts to American conservatism, sometimes coming from the liberal or big-government New Deal background". This does *not* describe most people I've seen labeled as "neocon". Most of those people are just "conservative". Neal Boortz, BTW, is a libertarian, not a conservative. If you ever actually listened to his show you'd know that.

That's the point! Most of todays children (including you)probably
are/were shipped off to Government schools where they are indoctrinated into your LIBERAL bedwetting mind set. Why?? Because there are lots of parents who do not teach thier own children any values or HOW to think on thier own.It is not the governments responsibilty to raise you. The main thing you ought to remember is that Liberals like most on this site think our country is great because of the Government and not because of the people.
Well I suppose if you're going to call all conservatives "Neocons" it should only be fair to call liberals of your caliber "pseudo-intellectuals". You are completely failing to grasp his argument. He is not against educating our young, quite the contrary, he is for BETTER educating our young. He is trying to make better citizens who are better equipped to analyze the news for themselves rather than having it spoon fed to you by Katie Couric. He is against unions because public education completely erases the need to compete in a market and encourages complacency, especially in a service industry such as teaching where caliber of service makes all the difference. Use that thing between your ears to actually analyze the information you're being presented before you wantonly blurt out the first catchy slur that comes to mind imbetween thoughts of who the next American Idol will be.

OK. Tell us all what makes your government so great. We're listening.
It would be a mistake to take what Boortz said about the teachers unions at face value. He is just pointing out the severity of the teachers union situation. He is over-dramatizing it to stir up controversy on sites just like this one.

Boortz knows that the country will never approve of removing public schooling nationwide. Boortz hates government funded schools for our children. He believes that government schools should be completely removed from the budget and replaced by private schools. He believes that teachers unions provides a safe haven for teachers who under perform. The sad thing is that this is a reality. Teachers who are part of the unions consistently under perform and their students are the ones that are hurt.

What incentive do teachers have to actually make sure their students are learning the material? Teachers unions are counter productive to the way our society is meant to grow. Perhaps this is hard to understand for some of you, but I strongly believe that our teachers have a great responsibility. I believe that it way overdue to weed out the hackers from the non-hackers. Our children deserve better.
You know, i think it is interesting how the Left shows how much they are for the betterment of so many things by swearing and cursing all the time. Why bother talking to em. They just want to shout and spray paint steps to buildings and be counter productive.

Maybe another day.

Looks like the posts here confirm what Boortz is saying about the Government school system corrupting a generation. Due to the posts here I now have to buy his book and read it. Guess Neal will need to send you royalties for helping to sell his book.

No, Enron wasn't, but neither is Microsoft, Home Depot, or any other number of institutes which could be said to be pedaling civil infrastructure.

Enron is an example of when capitalism fails, public schools is an example of when socialism fails.
There's a joke in an old Woody Allen movie where the guy says that the world was destroyed when a man named Albert Shanker got ahold of a nuclear bomb. Shanker was president of the teachers' union then.

Neal Boortz is wrong! Dealing with liberals is worse than having a colonoscopy. But, he is right about the Teacher's Unions. Per hour, teachers' pay rates among the highest. And, thanks to their union, it is almost impossible to fire an incompentent teacher.

No. You're wrong. I'm not willing to be continually shouted down because we differ. We do not have to agree you know.

But we do need to be clear where we disagree.

Later.

This is why parents should be able to choose what schools their kids go to whether public or private.

FrankC
Check out John Stossel's latest book. It has all the information that you need.
Private schools also have admission standards. I went to public highschool in Atlanta, GA and the school was basically segregated 9/10ths of the day. The AP classes were lily white, "advanced" classes were a better mix, and regular classes were largely comprised of minorities. Because of this, this created a degree of segregation in the social arena as well. At least private schools can justify it with admissions standards.
I agree. I believe in school choice but not vouchers. If you want to send your kids to a private school then you should pay for it - not the government. However, if families that can't or won't pay for private schools decide that they want their children to go to a school that they see as better, they should be FREE to do so. I believe that we can have competition even in Government Schools.

Thanks for an actual exchange of ideas (seriously), it's a pretty rare thing right now.

We are so divided as a country it's almost laughable...
Sheehan seems to have dropped off the Fox radar. Wonder why."

I am surprised they gave her any time at all. She is a lunatic.

Wont is probably more like it. That would eat into a parents 3rd car, 5th cell phone, next fix etc.

Claudo, I guess that you will not accept facts that you do not agree with? A salary of $40,000 per year sounds pretty good. Especially when you consider that teachers only have to work seven hours per day for 184 days yearly. Plus, they do not have to pay for health insurance.
claudo ,

you are FREE to do whatever you want. Just dont require the taxpayer to buy it for you. Work if you want it.
Unfortunately, I think in many cases the parents could afford to send their kids to a private school with some simple (gasp) sacrifices in their own lifestyles but their are many who could never afford it and that sucks but life is not fair. I don't say that flippantly, it's just a fact.

It is also possible for kids to get scholarships to private schools via many non-profit organizations. The Nobel family runs such an organization (the name escapes me right now). This is the kind of thing that makes our country great - voluntary giving...
I am not for the government providing any funds for anyone to go to private school as long as there are government schools (however good or bad they may be).

To me it is a choice a family makes and works for on their own.
As a taxpayer, I am very happy to support public education, TANF benefits, and food stamps for those in need. I would not be happy to support religious and/or private education.

I am very happy to support public education

And so therefore you should be just fine.

Its not public its Government!
This article had no social or political substance. It was merely an attack at a Libertarian and did not address any of the facts about teacher unions. It seems that everyone posting about this article has no clue what the Democratic Party stands (or doesn't stand) for. They are NOT here to help ANYONE. The current Republicans don't seem to care much either. Both parties are after power.
Additionally, we are at war. Iraq violated a cease fire agreement by not allowing inspections as itemized in the deal. He started this war in Iraq. We are at war with the terrorists as well and the Liberals are making us look weak. A divided house can not stand. The problem with the left is that our enemy has FAR more conviction and resolve than they do. The larger problem is that they want every one of us to either convert to Islam, or die! Congress doesn't have the guts to do what they promised. It just goes to show that they want power... not resolution. The following quote has never been proven wrong.

"Because of its emotional basis, liberalism can not be defended when confronted with fact and reason."

Teacher's unions suck. They claim that they care about the kids, but all they care about is their own bottom line.

How about Montessori schools. libs love those.

Claudo.... Do you see any other religions randomly killing on EVER continent?

It's a shame. You have so much tolerance for people that would slit your throat in a second.

That's why I don't believe in gov't vouchers for private schools. If it is a private institution and funded solely by it's "customers" (the students), it can let in or exclude whoever it wants. However, if it is a gov't instition the rules are different.

You bring up a good point with "special needs" children too. I don't know what the answer to this is but it is definitely something that the public and private sector should be focusing heavily on. And, again, there are many non-profits who can help bridge the gap in a lot of these cases.

Wow!! Neal Boortz never served in the military?? Now, that is something. Your hero, Bill Clinton, didn't either. As a matter of fact, he "high-tailed" it to Canada. Keep throwing them, there is a comeback for every one of your darts.

Woke, my heart bleeds for you guys. Try working in the private sector where you do not have job security. I'll bet that in your 30 years as a teacher, your school was never purchased by another school. Did you ever go into work and find out that you school was going out of business in two months? Well, that is the reality in the private sector. As for you taking home work, good for you. Many teachers don't. And, thanks to the unions, there is little that can be done to get rid of these people.

furthermore, just going to private school shows that your family has a certain level of income ....

Which I worked for and am proud of doing so. Hard work and money for it really pisses Liberal off

Catholics and Protestants, in Northern Ireland, were doing it for a long time. Just ask Lord Mountbatten!!!!

We only have to worry about those religious fanatics that want to kill us.

Well, you could be referring to certain elements in our population that harass abortion clinics and engage in hate crimes against gays and blacks.

A one horse race isn't very fun. I am sure you could come up with counter examples if you really tried, right?

Claudo...

Geez... that's big of you to assume that anyone who disagrees with you is a racist bigot. As for your Catholic and Protestant statement... are they our major threat right now? Furthermore, does that make anything ok?
PS... I'm not a Republican.

John T
I am from New Jersey where the AVERAGE teacher earns $55,000. They tried to go on strike when their school district tried to get them to pay a portion of their health insurance.
