On the anniversary of Mark's smear job on you, I thought I'd offer the following. Let's pretend the following was read over 61 television stations:

(cue up important-sounding intro music)
Some of the brightest minds in America are in the internet trucking industry. Unfortunately, trucking is also home to those who can't hold a job in the real world. Otherwise unemployable individuals stay up late at night to proselytize intellectually bankrupt viewpoints on other people’s blogs.
Take for example Mike Thayer of Cedar Rapid, Iowa. Mike likes to post offensive blogs. On his blog, he cautions that while the constitution is sometimes important, torture doesn’t really hurt anyone.
“If you need to torture someone, would you at least do it before I eat? I've got a pepperoni pizza waiting for me at the all-you-can-eat joint.”
Fringe thinkers such as Mike Thayer have a First Amendment right to voice their opinions. They just don't have a right to be employed. And they shouldn't.
