Trollapaloosa Volume 5 Part 3

My problem is with ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN NEWS coverage, the NYT and LA Times NEWS coverage.
New CBS Evening News Chief Kaplan's Clinton Connections
Rick Kaplan, hired Thursday by CBS to oversee its ratings-starved newscast, has had a long record of friendly relations with former President Bill Clinton, advising Clinton on how to respond to the Gennifer Flowers scandal in 1992 and blocking anti-Clinton stories from appearing on Nightline. Kaplan has also been hostile to conservatives and declared that disgraced CBS anchor Dan Rather's "legacy" was "the gold standard journalists today have struggled to live up to."
Media Bias Basics
The Liberal Media Exposed
Surveys over the past 25 years have consistently found that journalists are much more liberal than rest of America. The Media Research Center has compiled the relevant data on journalist attitudes, as well as polling showing how the American public’s recognition of the media’s liberal bias has grown over the years. Check out the MRC's newly-updated Media Bias Basics section, or read the formatted report "The Liberal Media Exposed" (30-page PDF report)

Frank, you are not seriously suggesting that journalists don't slant a news story?

That's pretty bizarre there count. (this reply to Toyota Insulta, as well)

In this thread alone, as a Republican generally I've had my party members and I called:

"Sad"
"Pathetic" (twice)
"classless"
"disgusting"
"a**holes"
(possessing)"stupidity"
and "classlessness"
"effen pigs"

and as an individual, called:

"troll" (2-3 times)
"idiot" (twice)
"clown"
"not smart enough" (to form a reply)
"intellectually dishonest"
"You don't know jack sh*t"
And I'm "full of crap".

Without a single corresponding returned insult on my part.
On the day I actually become what you describe I am above, you will deserve to reap what you've sown.

To the individual who was the source of nearly all of that, who called me full of crap, that's funny stuff. Maybe less "potty mouth" in the head and more "facts" and you'd have had room for that joint resolution.
Journalists just report facts and facts don't have a bias.

TOTO I DON'T THINK WE'RE IN KANSAS ANYMORE.

Watch that there turnip truck you are riding in the back of, it'd gonna hurt when you fall out of it.

Lemme think about this. A news event happens, a cameraman and journalist and crew go film it, do a few interviews, return, go to the edit room, the editor looks at it and they air what is the factual, objective truth as it really happened with no way the resulting piece can be skewed.

There sre holes in the street. Please do not just fall in one. But if you do, we'll be sure it gets on the news.
Which is why I didn't take that as an insult, being germane to the discussion.
I'm implying the incredible naivity inherent to the srgument he is pursuing.

And the typos, well I don't use spell check as a rule, and the haloscan program is kind of a POS, I've had a lot of replies disappear when using the preview feature.

I guess you should thank me for giving you excuses for not having to answer the posts.

Good thing this is not an international forum, you'd look like real jerks for such intolerance to anything but perfect English.

He wants me to leave. He would like all opposing views to disappear. Then he can be safe in his little cocoon of others who think like him.

Yet he's never engaged me on the issues, just pops in and endlessly brings up a comment made long ago, obviously facetious and made in jest, hoping to discredit me.

I made a comment on spending time 10:1 on sites where my views would be challenged.

Since you are one of the few here who usually have facts to bring to the table..... somehow, I think your time may be similarly alloted. Even if it's not on the internet, in some way your views are challenged and the compromise you reach within yourself is the truth.

I have found an altruism of internet forums is the ones who say "go away" provided you aren't blatantly rude, are the lowest denominator of their respective forums.

Signing off, no reason to make further off topic posts that will simply be deleted.
Pollyanna once said:

"Journalists write stories, in other words they just report the facts, facts don't have a bias."

Tell me that's not just silly.

I won't pursue the discussion. 'night.
