Murdoch: Beck Was Right To Call Obama Racist

Credit Think Progress

MURDOCH: No, no, no, not Stalin, I don’t think. I don’t know who that, not one of our people. On the racist thing, that caused a grilling. But he did make a very racist comment. Ahhh…about, you know, blacks and whites and so on, and which he said in his campaign he would be completely above. And um, that was something which perhaps shouldn’t have been said about the President, but if you actually assess what he was talking about, he was right.

Riiiight, Murdoch. Confront that the US has a racial problem head-on, and you're racist. Indulge in innuendo, oblique references and loaded language, and you're a stellar, above-reproach journalist.

The truth is that the Murdoch era is ending. His television outlets are increasingly exposed for the propaganda mills they are; newspaper revenues are slipping across the board; and his foolish belief that he can get people to PAY for the parallel online content shows a fundamental misunderstanding on his part of the Internet as a communications medium.

Buh-bye, Rupert. It's been real, it's been fun...but it hasn't been real fun.

I swear every-time I think of Murdoch I think of Elliot Carver which is exactly who he was based on.
