Week Four Thoughts in the NFL

* Jay Cutler was who I thought he would be: an overrated QB on a team, getting by with stellar D from Brian Urlacker and Julius Peppers. #6 got manhandeled by Tom Coughlin's D-Line in last night's 17-3 beatdown. Osi Umenyiora and Justin Tuck looked like tigers ready to pounce on Cutler's punk ass every chance the pair got, and did: He got sacked 9 times before he left the game with a concussion, six of those times he was sacked by Umenyiora and Tuck alone. What's even more imppresive: the Giants D held Chi-town to 110 yards of total offense, did not attempt a single 3rd down conversion in 13 attempts, and limited the Bears to 6 first downs. Sure, they're 3-1, but that's a team with many question marks, and with a rough schedule starting after their Bye Week on the 31st of this month, they need to answer those questions, and soon.

* Ex-Charger bunning back LT had 19 carries and rushed for 133 yds. as the Jets pistol-whipped Buffalo, 38-13. Its what he said that I found very interesting. (paraphrasing)

When we sat down with LT on Friday, he said that for the last two years with the Chargers he was injured in the first game of the year and never felt right after that. He said that this is the first time he's felt healthy since mid-2007.
Huh. I thoguht Tomlinson said once that the problem was that the O-Line sucked since mid-2007. Despite all that, Tomlinson was still the leading yards rusher in 2007, with 1474 yards, averaging 4.7 a carry, and was still selected to go to the Pro-Bowl. I totally believe you, Tomlinson. It was the O-Line (although there is some truth to it) and not the fact that you weren't getting your touches and that Norv Turner took away the keys and made Phillip Rivers the main focus of the team. Right.

* Despite the Special Returns Teams collapse in Weeks 1 and 3, the biggest surprise this season for the 2010 Chargers has been their defense. They are currently allowing 235.5 yards/game - the best in the NFL. With the injury to Shawne Merriman and losing 7x baby daddy CB Antonio Cromarte and ILB Tim Dobbins via free agency, I thought we'd have troubles at the Linebacker and Cornerback position. Linebackers Shaun Phillips and Kevin Burnett, and replacement Cornerback Anton Cason are thriving. Sunday's 41-10 beatdown of the Cardinals was further proof, especially in the LB corp. 9 total sacks yestersday, 4 for #95 alone. And what more can I say about Antonio Gates? 7 catches for 144 yds, two TD's, and he became just the 7th TE in NFL History to have over 500 catches for his career.

* Before yessterday's Redskins-Eagles match, Philly fans gave Donnovan McNabb a standing ovation. Three hours, a game-ending rib injury to Michael Vick and a 17-13 loss to the visitng Redskins, most of them had to be thinking: "Why the hell did we let McNabb go?"

Late Edit: How the hell are the Dolphins 2-1? Chad Penne did not look great out there tonight, and in the 3rd Quarter, the Patriots' Special Teams and Tom Brady outscored Miami 38-7 in the 2nd half winning 41-14 on Monday Night.

Bob Peters And The Art Of Lying

He's still mad I brought up Bullying and brought back all of those bad old memories. Really I know many of you would rather I drop it but since he continues to lie I have to answer his charges. is Bob a liar? Well I suppose it's possible he has Alzheimer's. This is his latest post on Newshounds and I will dissect the lies one by one.

planetofbob.wordpress.com
No, actually he left the chickenshit comment in. What he deleted was the comment where I reminded the Count that the "schooled me" (his words) by implying my 14 year old daughter was on the way to becoming a cracked out whore,

Never said his daughter was a cracked out whore or implied she was on her way to becoming one. What I said was Bob should be a parent BEFORE she becomes one. For the record I believe this daughter is another of Bob's lies. I never deleted any of Bob's comments until the his 5th post calling me a chickenshit. Hell I want them up there to show just how imbalanced the guy is.

disparaged my wife,

Never said a word about his wife. Much like the cracked out whore comment was a comment on Bob this disparaging remark about his wife was a comment about Bob being a liar which he we have established is a definite pattern with Bob.

and called my folks "piece of shit parents",
This is true but of course it's a half truth. What Bob is conveniently leaving out is he insulted my parents first. From his own mouth "
Oh, and as for the parenting advice, while it's probably to late you may want to give it to your folks. I'm sure they're proud."

and then after doing this (which is a real mature way to handle someone who disagrees with you) he is all of the sudden concerned about bullying.
Yes I am concerned about it. Obviously more concerned than you are.

And like I reminded the Count, at least when a real bully takes the lunch money from a smaller child, there is a thin chance that the kid will fight back.

And Like I said to Bob it's clear from his reaction my honest questions about bullying he was that kid that got his ass kicked a whole lot and really that explains everything we know about him.

But the Count instead prefers to bully hiding behind the persona of a cartoon character. And yes, that qualifies as "chickenshit" - not as an insult, but as a very accurate description.

Again insults from a man of is always whining about others insulting him. Isn't it funny that Bob spends all of his free time complaining about a lack of civility in others while he is constantly insulting everybody? maybe it's just another lie in Bob's whole life pattern of being nothing but a liar.

PS: I found out why he wants my personal information he is in to hacking Facebook pages. Pure class Bob.

Bob continues to lie and insult...it's all he knows.

planetofbob.wordpress.com
Count, if you actually read the comments posted above, and then read the first set of comments posted on your blog, it is obvious to anyone with a brain (oh wait, I may have discovered the problem here...) that the those two sets of comments go together. And since the second part of those comments are the only ones listed on your blog, then guess what.... you deleted the very first comments.

Guess what I can't delete half your comment dumbass. I can either keep it or get rid of it I can not edit it. I didn't erase any of your comments until the 5th post which continued your insult filled rants.

So tell me Count, why do you insist on lying? Can you not help yourself?

Really repeating what I said? You are going to the I am rubber you are glue card?

A Few Thoughts On The Big XII And The Nighthawks

Man bye weeks suck. I just want to say that right off the bat. Yeah the not being able to sleep very well the night before and the getting so nervous you are almost ill may seem crazy to some folks but you only get so many weeks you can experience the feeling and bye weeks feel like a missed opportunity. Good news is Thursday will be here soon and I will be in Manhattan, Kansas feeling queasy at kickoff.

I am glad the Nighthawks managed to win again tonight but they may want to actually play in the third quarter next week. Good to see Denny Green again. Reminded me of some good and not so good times before the ugly divorce. As did one Daunte Culpepper. I have to be honest I never thought Daunte was worth a shit as a pro and watching him not make plays down the stretch again brought back memories. Really good to see Corey Ross again. One of the few bright spots from the dark ages. If Nebraska had 100 Corey Ross' between 2002-2007 (Ross Graduated in 05) They would have never dropped do far.

Oklahoma State 38 Texas A&M. 35. OK A&M fan are you going to admit that Mike Sherman is the next Bill Callahan? This game was going to come down to whoever made the last mistake and not surprisingly it was A&M.

Baylor 55 Kansas 7. Ouch! OK you lost to Baylor that's no sin but 55-7? Really? It's Baylor's biggest margin of victory since the big 12 formed the 2nd biggest margin of victory was...3. Actually I don't know.

Oklahoma 28 Texas 20. Oklahoma got ahead 28-10 and then seemed to quit which is what they do. Texas is not very good right now at all. At then end of the game everybody got together and had a huge male orgy on the 50 yard line...ok not really but honestly Oklahoma and Texas are both the exact same cocksucker.

Iowa State 52 Texas Tech 38. Who the fuck gives 52 points to Iowa State? Not surprised Iowa State won this game but I am surprised with all of the talk about how Texas Tech was now going to play defense that they laid this turd.

Colorado 29 Georgia 27. The second worst team in the Big 12 is better than the second worst team in the SEC! At least they were Saturday. As for the people saying this was an upset...shit how is that possible? I picked it! As for the student body storming the field over a victory over a 1-4 team as much as I hate acronyms... ROFLMAO!

And since Nebraska didn't play today...

Thoughts On Bullying

Bullying as always been there but it seems it's getting to be an epidemic or we are just hearing about it more? In may ways I blame the parents all the way around The parents of the bully because 9 times out of 10 that's where the bullying came from. To a lesser extent the parents of the child being bullied for not giving the child some sense of self worth especially if the bullied child takes the actions to the point of injury or worse suicide. We know that many parents just flat don't give a shit about their child and can not be bothered to take part in their lives. The child being bullied in school and ignored at home is the one likely to take extreme actions. The people I blame the most are school administrators. What are they doing? Teachers, Principals, Guidance Councilors where are they? Don't tell me they don't see what is going on.

What are your thoughts on the subject...

Bush Institute Announces First Initiative...and it's a Whopper!

Via Think Progress...

The first major initiative of the new George W. Bush Institute will be to create a training program that will provide more qualified principals to the nation’s public schools, officials announced Wednesday.

The institute, which will be based at Southern Methodist University, is launching the Alliance to Reform Education Leadership with a pilot program that includes school districts in Fort Worth, Dallas, Plano, Denver, St. Louis and Indianapolis. The goal of the program is to train half of the nation’s public school principals in the next decade.

OK. Number One, when exactly did Dumbya become such a big fan of public schools? This is the home-school and voucher crowd. As some of the comments at TP suggest, maybe this is a way to make sure that public schools fail. His Midas touch gave that extra-special gift to most every other program that came anywhere near him, after all.

Number Two, who is going to give any credence to a program in which 50% of the test cases are in Texas, land of revisionist textbooks and maybe-we'll-secede tropes? Yes, sirree, that's the model we need for the educators and administrators of tomorrow!

Number Three, why on earth would school districts and their staffs willingly fall in line for this bilge? Here's a hint for you, Dumbya. Educators don't like you. They remember the defunding effort you mounted. They know what garbage your No Child Left Behind - more like No Teacher Left Standing - nonsense was, and how it's hamstrung their ability to do much more than tread arbitrary water, let alone, you know, educate. Pack up your Fuller Brush bag and skedaddle. Nobody wants this.

And, finally, there's already a program for training principals and others involved in the public education system. It's called the degrees they earned at reputable universities, and the continuing re-certification and in-service training their contracts usually require. From people who have these things called "qualifications." Not your grandiose plan, Dumbya. Fed, no doubt, by the yes-men at the Washington Speakers Bureau who trot you out for motivational speeches to friendly audiences and forever reassure you how loved you are and what priceless pearls of wisdom you impart.

So, tell you what, Dumbya. Here's a better idea. You remember those "faith-based" initiatives you were so enamored of? Stick with that. You stay at home with Barney at your side and Laura avoiding you as much as possible, and you pray all those kids smarter and better behaved. It's much less work for you, and I guarantee the rest of us will all be much happier.

(By the way, originally I was saying "Dubya," and Blogger's spell-checker didn't care for that. But it's fine with "Dumbya." Kind of telling, eh?)

FSTDT Outdoes Itself

OK...usually I can't bear not to deconstruct the nonsense at Fundies Say The Darndest Things in excruciating detail. But there were two back-to-back, appearing today, where the lunacy really does speak for itself, rendering my very brief comments almost unnecessary. Behold!
Quote# 76430

[After referencing articles about astronauts becoming slightly taller in low gravity.]

Therefore, it should be of no conflict with science to claim that Adam's size, or man's initial size on earth in general, was in the neighborhood of 90 feet tall, or that the first human-race ever walked on earth was around 90 feet tall, give or take 10 to 20 feet between the creatures' differences in heights as we today have people as tall as 7 feet and as short as 2 feet tall. The reason for this is simply because the planet earth was much smaller than what it is now.
I guess it all depends on your definition of what a "foot" is. Though they are usually also very big on insisting on six 24-hour days' worth of Creation. Heh. I have this hilarious picture in my mind now of a 90-foot-tall guy in a loincloth, running around the equator in, like, a total of a dozen strides, treating the Earth like some kind of celestial treadmill.
Quote# 76415

Homosexuals are unable to breed on their own. The only way to increase their numbers is by stealing other peoples children.
Parents had better start paying attention to whats going on in the schools. Bad company corrupts good character.

The first thing the public school does to the children is teach them to disobey their parents. The school will do an innocent lice check - for the health of the children - but they'll use the same comb on all of them. When the kids complain because their moms told them never to share hair brushes, the kids get sent to the principal for their disobedience. Next comes an art project that requires putting a plastic bag over their heads. All these simple things add up. Eventually, the school "proves" that "parents are wrong".
Oh, the peril of lice-checks, art projects, and that most abhorrent of anti-Old Testament garb - worse even, my friends, than the mixing of wool and cotton in your attire - plastic bags on heads. (And, come to that, wouldn't most elementary schools try to teach the kids that putting a plastic bag on your head is a BAD idea? Like those warnings on dry cleaning bags?) Don't ever tell this poster about the bedbug scare in NYC, everybody. He or she might well explode.

Pot Kettle Black

From Planet Bob's Blog Pedaphile pal checks in with the whopper...

Blackflon, on September 8, 2010 at 6:01 am Said:

Hey, Bob, don’t feel so bad. Aria and her little band of idiots will always attack you or anyone they disagree with. Rarely will they engage in rational discourse.

Their MO is to lie and make things up.

I would recommend doing a search of Blackflon/houndwatcher on this blogand see what passes for rational discourse from him.

Big 12 Predictions

With Oklahoma State and Texas A&M playing tomorrow I have to get these out a day early. All 5 games have the potential to go either way. That being said I feel pretty solid about 4 of these picks.

Oklahoma State 38 Texas A&M 24. Both teams are undefeated but OSU has been more impressive and the game is at Stillwater. Still at some point OSU will be OSU of course A&M will also be A&M. Factor in the coaching matchup...Mike "I'm a man" Gundy and Mike "Bill Callahan south" Sherman...hell that's about equal as well...equally shitty.

Baylor 34 Kansas 24. Baylor is not that bad Kansas is not that good and again I'm going with the home team.

Oklahoma 24 Texas 17. The worlds largest intrasquad scrimmage. They should put Maroon vs Orange on the scoreboard. It says here the University of Texas at Norman is a better team than the University of Texas At Austin.

Texas Tech 24 Iowa State 21. I think this will be a very close game and a win here could give ISU a shot at a bowl game. T-Tech is the better team.

Colorado 17 Georgia 13. This could be fun. Losing coach might get fired on the spot. Both teams suck Bob Peter's shrinking 97 year old nad sack but I am going with Colorado...which I never thought I would be 2 weeks ago.

Poor Bob Getting His Ass Kicked And Changing The Subject

After I schooled the Ankeny flash on putting words in my mouth I never said he had no recourse but to change the subject. This is of course and old Conservative ploy changing the subject once one has been reacquainted with ones ass. One of Bob's favorite games is to lob insults then accuse others of using insults.

So this is the part where I call you a piece of....., but you know what, you're not even worth the time to type it out. And while I could always go with the Junior High version of name calling that you have used here, it would pale in comparison to the post-graduate level work that Aria is doing on the subject. Say what you will about her, the girl is Oscar Wilde (you can google it) when it comes to insults. "Thundercunt", "Piss Poor Excuse for Afterbirth" - Now THAT'S how you insult someone.

And feel free to use this little exchange on your little blog. What will that be, 20, 25 "Bob is an asshole because" posts that you've done? And sadly, even with your editing you are usually the one who comes off looking like an ass. So no, there will malediction (you can google that too), other to say that your a sad little man.

Oh, and as for the parenting advice, while it's probably to late you may want to give it to your folks. I'm sure they're proud.

As for my parents they have done hell of a lot better job than your piece of shit parents have obviously done. I don't pal around with pedophiles. In this past week I have taken one of my Nephews to a professional football game and went and saw two games my other nephews have taken part in. In other words I have given more of my time to kids that aren't even mine than you have to kids that are yours. that is assuming you have a 14 year old daughter...and again thankfully I don't believe you do. When did you ever find time away from trolling on websites to conceive the girl? And what woman of child bearing age would have the child of an 83 year old man who has so little else to offer? I mean unless millionaires have suddenly made Ankeny the Beverly Hills of the plains.
