Anyway there was a good three way going between Truthy, Ranger and Scallion going on in one of threads Really it wasn't that bad I have seen much worse. Anyway Melanie (I can ban him with a flip of a switch) showed up and of course threatened the regulars. Then gave The three another victory by shutting the Thread off.
Seriously they're some moderators over there who have not clue what they are doing.
Edit. The ass kissers are out making excuses for the Mods. NO MORE excuses.

Yeah,taht was some shit,honestly.
It wasn't so bad at all. And it was mostly on topic, otehr than the whole ranger/picture thing.
And I was hoping truthy would answer my last question lol. The fool.
What pisses me off is they were even joking about how they were going to get the thread shut off. And Melanie gave them what they wanted. Does she not know that what she is doing is making sure Truthy and his gang keep coming back?
They know they have a Mod whipped. And notice Dogfucker now shows up to take a few victory laps.
A comment will be deleted if it is 1) totally irrelevant, 2) relevant, but extremely vulgar, or 3) a copy/pasted article with no relevant comment.
90% - 96% of the comments from the trolls are either totally irrelevant or a copy/pasted article with no relevant comment.
I'm just sayin........
Agreed Jonathan. But what gets me is, if we can see through the troll bullshit, why can't the Mods? Are we just more seasoned and experienced or are the Mods putting on some really narrow blinders?
Zilla. Doggy quoted posted as me tonight on the mains quoting something I said here. I didn't even know about it until Stsoh made a comment about replying to something I recently said. When I went to the thread in question Chrish had told me to leave.
Now I know damn good and well she can see the ISPN and knew it wasn't me that posted on her thread. Still she chose to make it look as if it were me.
It's fair enough I guess. I don't know everything "I" said on the mains tonight but if it pissed off the high priestess Chrish odds are I might have agreed with it.
This is getting rediculous. I didn't come back to deal with this kind of shit.
Hell,I might jsut go ahead and start shopping for soem forum software.
The blogosphere at its best (and its worst) is a bit like the Wild West - untidy, vulgar, and prone to Main Street shootouts. It's a bit unrealistic to expect it to be like civilized afternoon tea in the parlor, where you politely look the other way when someone spills a crumb of crumpet.
I think it would be better were there more acceptance by moderators that cleanup after the saloon fights comes with the territory, and that when your response is continually to close down the place, pretty soon not even Miss Kitty and the Marshall are going there.
'Tis the nature of blogging.
Heh,or you could be like me ET,and jsut not give a shit, lol.
Word, Yakki!
The house the Hounds built has been my virtual home-from-home for some time now, so I get annoyed when I see the landlords messing with the place, and declining to clean up the graffiti but instead just blocking comments.
My preference would be for them to just admit that troll cleanup comes with Teh Bloggin, and do it in a way that doesn't penalize regulars.
If they don't have the time and that's not what they want to do? Then restructure the site as something other than a blog. But a blog is by nature interactive, and if you're not willing to handle the interactivity then just forego comments and run a static, one-way website.
I think the blog element is part of the lure, traffic, and vibrancy, myself.
They could do their valuable un-spinning of Fox without the bloggery.
It just wouldn't be as compelling.
Dealing with trolls strikes me as part of the price you have to be prepared to pay in order to run a popular blog.
Staunching it in turn staunches your popularity...
