A lot of the non-religious conservatives consider Huckabee "liberal when it comes to spending" so who knows how its going to play out outside of the bible belt.
I suppose Washington will be the first test and so far he is even with McCain.
At the moment about 1800 Republicans want McCain and 1800 dont (or they actualy want Huckabee, who knows)
Unfortunately, if that GOP nag gets the nomination he will "triangulate" both Barak or Hillary out of the national election.
The cold war still isn't over, it just took a break.
Thanks to GW and his missiles for for Eastern Europe program, Putin decided to turn down the temperature again.
My opionion, but with McCain vs Hillary or Obama, most Americans will see it as a liberal that will defend us vs. a liberal who wont. And they will vote for McCain.
It wont take much play from the Republican radio shills for most Americans to take it hook line and sinker.
The Democratic Party may actually lose the election with its anti-war stance which was a shure fire election winner only 6 months ago.
It's not about loving someone, its about who the American People will vote for President.
Whether the right wingers hate McCain or not is quickly becoming irrelevant. Their higher concern is to retain the White House and McCain is their best chance for that.
If you don't believe me, listen to Hannity for a few days and see for yourself. The prick is already bending down to lick McCains boots. Rush won't be far behind.
Most Republicans are not right wingers.
Most republicans just don't want to pay more taxes. Which by the way is what most Democrats are also interested in.
A lot of you guys are just as out of tune with the American People as some of the talk radio shills.
You just don't get it, do you?
Actualy, they plus alot of very active Democrats were just scared of another 9/11 and gave the administration carte blanche.
"Destroy the Country" is a bit of a harsh term. Define how he destroyed it?
The problem is that the regular guy isn't going to get his house back if Barak or Hillary are in office.
That house is gone.
No, I won't john!
All I can say is that alot of active party Democrats that I know have been and are pro war.
I overheard a couple of elderly ladies talking today about Barak.
Saying something like:
"It's definitely time for a change, too many people are losing their holms, that ain't right, the country has too much money to let that happen"
Unfortunately the country doesn't have to much money to let that happen, unless it raises it by raising taxes.
Do you want to pay more taxes to let your neigbor get his house back?
It's not about not giving a shit, its about not having to work hard to earn money and then having to give it to some one else that didn't work.
The problem is that the majority of Republicans are not rich "fat cats".
Actualy no. The economy is tanking, and people are afraid if they will have a job next year. Do you think they want to pay more taxes to help some idiot out that bought a 5000 sq ft house that he cant afford to pay the mortgage on?
They are voting for low taxes. Something that the Democrats are not for.
I don't follow you on that
History is repeating itself.
1970's. Country hocked itself with Vietnam. Economy was tanking. People wanted a change. They voted Jimmy Carter in. Was there a change.
Yes, the economy cratered. Part of the reason, Ronnie is thought of fonly is because he "wasn't as bad as the Carter administration".
Now Hillary and Barak are both saying they will change things. One problem though, what exactly are they going to do to prevent the economy from tanking. I have not heard a single thing that they said they will do. Worse, their National Health (which I think something is required) proposals will only worsen the deficits and cause negative presure on the economy.
So the question is: What have they said they will do to fix the economy?
Actualy no. It's from listening to Hillary and Barak.
Maybe not just Limbaugh, but a load of tax whiners. Fact is, taxes buy a decent society. Always have, always will. Our fellow "Western Democracies" pay heed to it. Then again, we HATE Western Democracy, don't we??

Something tells me you personaly do not pay much taxes.
I've done alot of traveling to many of those well taxed "Western Democracies" you speak of. And in truth they don't.
Nice one sherlock. I can see you're not capable of intelligent conversation with.
Bush I called it "Voodoo Economics"
Ireland, England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Norway, Denmark, etc.
I'm sorry bugler, I never said that I was against paying taxes in order to provide you with the best mental health care money can buy!
It was more the new technology that grew the economy as well as the tech bubble. The surpluses were mainly due to additional tax revenue that was caused by all those stock sales in the booming stock market of the 90's.
I am glad you are safe Frank. I am also glad to see that you came to this wonderful country instead of staying at a place which you think is better.
Actually I am more familiar with Ireland and unfortunately that boom is just about over.
Worse, the place has high taxes as well as a 17% sales tax and there are virtualy no government benefits. Long waiting lines for free health care etc.
For one, I am being baited by a pinhead.
Where do you get your news from?
Worse, how do you know I'm batting 0.000? Because I am saying something contrary to what you think?
Actualy the little synchophant bugler was the one that called me a pinhead first. But that wouldn't matter to a pinhead like you either.
As much as I dislike Brillo, it is people like you that give him some credibilty.
So in summary, thank you for screwing up my Democratic party you pinhead.
Felix is actualy an intelligent Democrat. Not sure who I support at the moment though.
What has occured here is that a few far left wing synchophant have decided to gang up on me.
Yes, it is wealth, but that is due to the high house prices. A small 1300 st ft semi detach can run as high as $1,000,000 right now. So high that people rent out rooms in order to pay the mortges and young couples have to rent out a room to live because they cant buy their own house at those kinds of prices. In a country of only 3million, it doesnt take too many $1million dollar houses to skew the per capita income for the nation.
I know, I have been there, I have relatives there, I have friends there. Just like farmers here, the people are land rich but money poor.
I have. But frankly, why should I validate anything for you.
Someone made a claim that high taxes were a good thing for Europe. Perhaps you or someone else should validate that.
John, would you like me to hold a sigh for you in front of the hill of Tara?
Back in 2002 it was down to about $0.80. You can look the rest up for yourself.
Bla bla bla bla bla bla bla
Eh????
Some fine Left Wing thinking you got there Rob.
May wash well here, but not in the real world.
Another fine far left winger who will help the Republicans retain the White House.
It is unfortunate that there are quite a few far left wingers here that start acting childish when a more centrist opinion is expressed.
Some of you are draining the credibility of this site down.
What are you on about? Is that some kind of left wing code?
Are we being angwy and nestwy now awnt wee? ooowww!
Let the imbeciles look them up themselves. It's not like any amount of reality will convince them differently than their beliefs. They are no better or worse than the right wing they so despise.
If you don't think they are john, then you need a reality check.
yuk yuk yuk.
Guess what,
You started this whole thing big boy with your "imbecile" remark followed by your "pin head" remark.
Listen carefully, it is the American People who will be voting for the president that do not want higher taxes.
If you cannot understand that by now, you never will.
Sorry bugger, I will stop then.
I am glad to see the Democratic Party is in such good hands. God help us.
How will you get rid of the National Debt Frank?
