Happy Birthday Eileen. We Miss You Everyday.

I think it could be said that in many ways these have been times that have tried my soul. In what was in an all too short a span of time the presence of 4 beautiful souls have been taken from us. I say this in no way to disparage the memory of any of these 4 beautiful people all you need to know about their greatness, love and understanding is that they excepted The Count as a friend. No easy to task. But the passing of Eileen Turri was one that I have taken especially hard.

Such an intelligent, beautiful, loving soul. I have said many times I was in nearly in awe of her. The way she carried herself her amazing understanding and intelligence. I have had my own share of demons and issues in the past year. I do not doubt that losing her all to soon as well as the passing of such wonderful people as Kimberlee, Jon, and Donna have played a role in whatever It was that I was going through this spring and summer. I also have no doubt that had Eileen been here she would have said in her stern but loving way...You're better than this it's time to get on with your life. And then of course she would have stood by you the whole time as you did just that.

I don't fully know Eileen's personal stance on issues of Spirituality. I do know that even if she personally wouldn't identify herself as one Christians could do so much worse to find a role model on how to conduct their lives than Eileen. However I do know where I stand on such issues after a fashion. I will not close by saying God Bless Eileen Turri. I will just close by saying God blessed me for having known Eileen Turri.

I don't know what became of Kyle Ann nor do I care. Honestly I had forgotten about writing about her 5 years ago. But I can tell you her blog seems to be gone. What became of her I have no idea. I sure hope I didn't offend her though because that would be terrible.

I published three 0f Yakki's responses tonight on older blog posts. Just to let him know the threads older than a week have comment moderation because of the amount of spam for Viagra and Russian brides we were receiving. We love Ya and hope you feels the same about us.

Been a busy day over at The Dollars fruit-stand as they have been spending the day going after Ellen, Jonathan, and Auntie because they fell the need to defend Dollar and Blackflon over their jokes about rape. This is a blog that allows Blackflon admitted pedophile, Jefferey who admits to fucking horses, that one gutless anon shitbag who wrote on two blogs that he fucks great danes and Bob Peters whom I am pretty sure only fucks himself. Why would anybody be shocked that they have no problem with jokes about rape? Amazingly the biggest nut of the group doesn't seem to be Blackflon, Koldys, or Peters but instead seems to be Gray Hammy. I offered to give Gray Hammy Blackflon's own admission to being a pedophile but as yet she has not taken me up on that offer. The offer still stands Hamster. Of course this group of the worst and dimmest also seem to think Jonathan is Auntie. Oh and everybody else is Pat. Don't ask.Personally I don't think Ellen, Auntie, or Jonathan should bother with the special kids over at Dollars the work they do is far to important to waste to waste their time. NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament And Some Announcements.

Before I write about the tournament A few announcements.

We had yet another post on the 4 year old Lee Stoneking thread. This one stating that it sounded as if we had an axe to grind. Which is a funny accusation coming from somebody posting on a 4 year old thread.

I noticed we had a new follower so I'd like to welcome our latest follower Meg Dolan! Now this blog has... get this 4 followers! This is her photography blog give it a visit.

I will not be able to do any live tournament blogging during Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. I know those are usually the most exciting days with upsets and whatnot. However I am going in to what I like to call hiding for 3 days. Just checking in to a nuthouse for those 3 days (actually a hotel just wanted to see if you were reading) I need to have a few days of quiet and alone time and with the basketball on that nobody in this house enjoys it just seemed like a good time to do it. The original plan was to check into Ameristar Casino but I scraped that because while the rooms would be cheaper I can't afford to lose what I could very well lose at a casino in 3 days. You tell yourself you won't go down to the Casino anymore and 20 minutes later guess where you are? I know, I've done it.

I'm insulted!

So the Count and "Bob" are in an epic war of words on their respective blogs, but there's no mention of yours truly. All I have to say is: what gives, "Bob"? Where do I fit in all of this? Sure, i've taken a hiatus from writing anything political, but come on! The last few years when I would contribute something nearly everyday should be grounds enough for some kind of name-calling! I'd happily take "idiotic, naive liberal brat who doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about", but I can't even get that! Maybe I should return to talking more about current events, and less about movies and Harry Potter.

Edit From The Count: Ehh Bob Likes you I think. At the very least he respects your writing. He thinks you are a more talented writer than I am to which say... Duh! As for the epic war? Nah. Last week was the first time I mentioned him in 6 months and that was only to express that I wouldn't want him around my children. People say you know Bob said this or Bob said that. I laugh it off. I don't read what he writes and do not care. He does read what I write and he does care.

My advice for what it is worth is to stay out of it. Stick to whatever it is you want to write about movies, current events, how great the Padres are this year. But leave Bob to me and most of the time I'll leave him alone.

I do not mind if you post on old threads however on the threads at least a week old the comments go to moderation. I had to do this because I was getting sick of having to erase bot posts in the comments section offering free porn, better car insurance and Russian Brides. I'd like to take the time to thank ET, Jonathan and both of our other readers for putting up with all of the sports talk of the last 3 months while the NBA playoffs were going on and the re-alignment of college football which involved Nebraska. I know these are not topics that many people (ok nobody besides me) care about but they are of importance to me. I apologize again for boring the reader with these topics. Honestly I did not expect the Boston Celtics to last much past the first round of the NBA Playoffs and they came with in 5 points of winning the whole thing. Minus the somewhat crappy ending the ride was as exciting for me as it was boring for you. Second of all I was hopeful yet not convinced Nebraska would do what was unquestionably the right thing and tell Texas to go screw itself. Even though the decision was one that in my opinion was a no brainier, keep in mind this is Nebraska where many people consider a change of underwear something to be carefully considered before going forth. But today I erased two posts from Ranger Dope one saying he wished Sarah Palin was his neighbor and one talking about how bad Obama was doing in the polls (I checked Gallup he's gone up 3 pts.) so thinks must be getting back to normal.
