References to God is quintessentially an American tradition... what is newish is this going beyond that and getting into individual's sectarianism..
Newsweek had on its cover of Mitt Romney "A Mormon's Journey" , then they had Huckabee, and I remember the word "HOLY" written largely but dont remember the other word.
I dont have tv.. so i really dont know what is the catalyst for this deep diving into people's faith.
I suspect it's the news media trying to cast the Republicans as theocratic knaives. It seems to me that the media hyped up the disagreements that various social conservatives have.
Does the fact that two leading figures from the socons differ with each other MONTHS before a primary warrant the news media creating a big story about it?
This campaign has just gone on for too damn long.. i think they ran out of things to talk about so they decide to go for the religion crap.
A good example of how I dont trust the media is when the chick who replaced Eva Braun at Today show asked Huckabee if he intends to impose his evangical christianity on everybody.
What an absurd question and i believe it comes from bad faith (no pun intended)
