I really don't know what is going on. I've got to admit I'm stumped on this. I must admit that my banning wasn't a surprise. Of the people who have been banned I think mine makes the most sense. But Coffee Talk? Really I don't get it. Anyway all i can do is say if you get banned to...
A. email and ask why. (they should have the guts to tell you but...)
B. Don't insult them in your answer. ( unless like me, you just don't care)
C. Post on off topic. ( The mods are closing in there as well but it should be safe for the time being)
D. Continue to scratch your head on the fact that you are banned and "Enrico" and "Ass Burglar" are not.
If you were banned by Ellen I don't know there is much you can do. She has flat out said that Newshounds is"her" board. It makes you wonder what the other mods, regular posters and more importantly the contribution button are for. Hell it's Ellen's site and you aren't welcome to it.

Well, I'm also having a hard time understanding what is going on. I've been around NH for more than a year, but never posted enough to achieve 'regular' status, but even I received the letter threatening banishment a few months back. Since I never considered myself a 'troll-baiter', I was confused.
Maybe it has something to do with Ellen's desire to have these threads stand for posterity? I have noticed that the number of posts does seem to be decreasing, though.
Count, I think I might have been banned by either Donna or Siobahn, if so I wish I knew why. I'm waiting for an email telling me their reasons, none yet. I can live with it, I was hanging out there too much anyway. Take it easy.

Personally, I don't go on the Mains that much anymore, because of the lack of moderation and because it's always a damn shootout going on over there! It used to be a forum for intelligent analysis and excellent findings and information to debunk Fox News's as nothing more than a right-wing propaganda network for the Republican Party, but now, it seems that the moderators will bitch about some of the smallest things now.

Never found out why I was banned, though it must have been a mistake. I did write them an angry email so I doubt I'll be back as Coffee Talk anyway. Actually I've moved on to many other cool forums and blogs. To tell you the truth the forum is a bit too intimate and club like for a free spirit like me, so perhaps I was banned purely for personal reasons. I was there when it started out, when it was just an open thread on the mains, long before ET's lore and it was fun while it lasted until people started taking it way too damn seriously. I'm rambling now so I'll just say goodbye. :)

Sorry to hijack your blog with this, Count. I think you came in right around the time that Greg was banned, so you may have missed some or most of it. Let's just say that never before (or since) have I seen a past OT regular completely disintegrate and turn on his fellows in so dramatic a fashion.
Anyway, I'm persuaded beyond a doubt that CT at least is Greg back from the beyond, so in this case it was a good and long-overdue moderator call, IMO.
