So tonight on Newshounds there was a troll named "Phillip" stalking and insulting regulars and stealing their monikers and posting. Instead of "baiting" him I reported him. How does Moderator Ellen respond to the troll attack? By chasing of another regular.

I am going to stop short of saying Ellen doesn't have a clue on how to moderate ... But just short.
I would hope John T. doesn't stop posting but rather posts on threads where the moderator isn't on a power trip.
*Late edit there has been a troll, probably the same one, stealing monikers and insulting regulars on Ellen's threads. The comments stay there, sometimes for as long as a half hour, until I comment. Then they along with my comments get deleted.

I couldn't believe what I just read. Ellen making john t leave? I'm just wondering which regular on Newshounds is next? I don't know what's going on with that site, but I can say honestly that I don't like what's happening. If Ellen, and the other moderators for that matter, want the trolls to run thier threads, I say let'em. If you build something that only a narrow-minded, profane, juvenile will use, only a narrow-minded, profane, juvenile will use it.

I have been watching all this crap going on and I find it ridiculous that the regulars are constantly being singled out and disciplined while the trolls continue to post at will. It has gotten to the point that the regulars are reluctant to comment for fear of being misinterpreted and ultimately banned.
You're right to be upset. You, John t and Yakki are the posters that I enjoy reading the most.
If the ban holds up, please post where you and the others will be gathering so I can join the fun.

I hope John T. Doesn't leave and I don't know what is going on with Yakki. He hasn't been on and hasn't updated his blog. But I don't plan on leaving. If worst comes to worst I will just post on Off topic. Which is what I encourage all regulars to do.
On a related not there is a troll on Newshounds at the moment who has a real problem with me so...I best getting to putting up some troll quotes. :)
I'm sorry if this comes across as a rant, but I know I'll just get banned if I post this over at Newshounds. Right now, 1:20pm on May 2nd, There is a thread concerning Sean Hannity and Dick Morris. 2 trolls named Vince P and Will have been posting there and trying to irritate the regulars. Instead of deleting thier droppings and telling them to leave, Ellen actually encouraged Vince P TO POST AGAIN. The troll posted more condescending crap and ELLEN APPROVED OF IT. I wanted to post on that thread that she gave that troll more courtesy than she showed john t, but I am so angry right now I can barely type. I may still post in the OT threads,but last time I tried to access them, I got a virus warning from my AV software. This is just maddening.
I just went over and glanced at that thread Godzilla. She's over moderating as usual but she did threaten the trolls. Granted the threats were weak compared to the threats she gives regulars.
There are a lot of regulars who are questing her mod skills at the moment.
On an unrelated note on a thread not moderated by her I had somebody insulting me all night. I am a big boy I can take it, hell I thought it was funny, but I wonder why that is allowed to go on and I get warned for baiting trolls.
