Catholic priests have not, for the most part, engaged in any sexual abuse at all. Those who have have not been,for the most part, pedophiles. Pedophilia is the sexual attraction to pre-pubescent children. The sexually abusive priests have been homosexuals attracted to and preying upon adolescent, post-puberty, boys.

In a classic RRL move of misdirection and redefinition, their attack on religion through attacking the Church is dependent on first redefining “pedophilia” and then redirecting the scandal away from predatory gay men to whatever other smokescreen they can invent.

The big move to the Left, the Vatican Council, was responsible for making the priesthood a safe haven for predatory gay men, and setting them up in positions of trust where they could molest young men with impunity.

A friend dated a man who had entered the seminary during that period and left because the atmosphere was so hostil to anyone who was not openly and overtly gay.

But Lefties are deeply invested in protecting and even promoting homosexuality, so the only way they can use sexual predation to attack the Church is to pretend it is heterosexual, and that the sin is one of pedophilia.

Having sex with a boy doesn't make you a fag...it means that you are an extremely disturbed person who needs psychiatric help. Furthermore, pedophilia and homosexuality are polar opposites. Homosexuality means that you are attracted to the same sex. Pedophilia is considered, in the field of psychology, as a mental disorder where an individual gets excitement out of having sexual intercourse with pre-pubertal or pubescent boys or girls, or has sexual fantasies about boys or girls of a certain age.
It doesn't take a scientist to figure out that homosexuality and pedophilia have nothing to do with the other...hell, a high school student could be able to distinguish the difference between the two.
