Sweet.
Part One comes out November 2010, and Part Two comes out Summer 2011.
2009 Summer Movie Season Part One: The Must See
Last year's summer class of 2008 gave us a new Marvel favorite superhero in Iron-Man (and the resurrection of Robert Downey Jr.'s career), it warmly welcomed back Indiana Jones, gave women a chance to catch up with Carrie, Miranda, Samantha, and Charlotte, and Batman and the Joker blew away the the competition and made a killing at the box-office (over $500 million to be exact).
As a public service, i'm gonna list the must see movies of the summer movie season tonight; tomorrow, the summer movies that are on the sense; and on Saturday, the summer movies you need to avoid like the plague.
Must See:
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (July 17) - At the top of my list is the sixth movie installment to arguably one of the most beloved literary series of our time. You all know the deal with HBP: Harry, through the help of Professor Dumbledore, begins to learn the complex story of how Tom Riddle became Lord Voldemort, his role in the prophesy, and Voldemort's one vulnerability. Originally, Half-Blood Prince was scheduled to be released last year, but because of the writer's strike and the fact that Terminator Salvation was the only big movie Warner Bros. had in its summer arsenal, the date was moved to July. It's even darker and scarier than the other Harry Potter movies based on the look of the trailers, so once again, the children might might not be able to handle some of the darker magic and major character death that happens toward the end, but I can't wait.
Star Trek (May 8) - At first, I thought this would be a flop. Moving the date from Christmas Day to Summer didn't help alleviate my original conceptions either. Then came the second trailer that as attached to Quantum of Solace.
Wow.
Then came the final trailer that was released a month ago.
.........
Watch it for yourself.
J.J. Abrams (Mission: Impossible 3) has shot the shit out of this movie. Trekki fans will probably bust a nut watching the movie at midnight.
Funny People (July 31) - Director/writer Judd Appatow said that "I'm trying to make a very serious movie that is twice as funny as my other movies." Enter Funny People, a comedy-drama about a comedian who comes face to face with the prospect of dying. Adam Sandler's done some serious roles before (think Punch-Drunk Love, Spanglish), but from the looks of the trailer, this just might be his best.
Up (May 29) - Like all Pixar movies, there's not much we know about their latest creation. Something about an old man traveling around in the sky with his house with thousands of balloons and one pudgy, boyscout as his companion as the premise. And, like Pixar, we know they'll somehow top their latest feet, which was last year's groundbreaking classic, WALL-E, and make more shelf space for another Oscar.
Damn Twitter
Jonathan you will have to re add you twitter again. Sorry about that.
Another Conservative IdiotWho Doesn't Know What Freedom Of Speech Means
The vile Conservative sub human Jay Severin was suspended from his radio gig for saying amongst other things...
We should be if anything surprised that Mexico has not visited upon us poxes of more various and serious types considering the number of cimminalieans already here. [...]
It's millions of leeches from a primitive country. ... Now they are exporting a rather more active form of disease which is the swine flu.
Anyway this of course has given yet another Conservatove Dipshit who has not clue one what free speech really means the right to bitch.
Proud Says:
It's official free spreech rights only apply if you are bashing, Pres Bush, Gov. Palin or anyone who attended a Tea Party. The vile things written on this very blog aimed at anyone on the right are as insulting as anything this guy said. Liberals are far and away the most hypocritical bunch of idiots on this planet. Now I can sit back and read the idiotic responses, which I am sure will be just as derogatory as anything said by Severin. The left doesn't control what is or is not offensive.
Hey stupid fuck. The people leaving comments on a blog are not employed by a radio station. Is this stupid fuck Damail? Sure sounds like her.
Proud Says:
When did the left become the guardians of free speech? Someone please explain why what Severin said, although offensive is not protected by free speech rights
Ok Asshole. Severin has free speech. He's not in jail is he? Free speech does not guarantee him or anybody else freedom of employment. Why is is this concept so hard for the right wing dildos to grasp?
Oh here is American Patsy...
American Patsy Says:
"some of the world's lowest of primitives in poor Mexico":
So, you progressives think crapping and urinating in the street and in the source of water is not primitive? Is that considered a "progressive movement" now?
So says Lou Dobbs and Fox News. Of Course Lou is married to one of those primitive losers.
Proud Says:
The left had ERR America spewing lefty hate until it failed. My point is that he should not have been suspended, his bosses crumbled under the idiocy of political correctness.
Air America is still in business.
Proud Says:
Who knows what is right or wrong in this situation. The one thing I know for sure is Obama is going to take aways Bidens free speech rights, and if he is smart, he will never allow Biden to speak again.
This is a common tactic by the right. When you are getting your ass handed to you change the subject quick.
Another Happy Boxing Story.
From ESPN:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Greg Page, a former heavyweight boxing champion who suffered a severe brain injury in a 2001 fight, has died at his Louisville home. He was 50.
His wife, Patricia Page, said she found the one-time World Boxing Association champion in his bed Monday morning. Patricia Page said he died of complications related to injuries he suffered in the fight.
Page told The Associated Press her husband "is in a better place now."
The March 9, 2001, fight left Page in a coma for nearly a week. He then had a stroke during post-fight surgery. He was paralyzed on his left side and received intensive physical therapyWednesday, April 29, 2009
Reposting For Jonathan.
Columbia legacy has put out a box set to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison Concert. Cash actually gave two shows at Folsom Prison a morning show and a afternoon show the original album and was made up mostly of the first and best show with a couple of tracks from the second show. In the new box set both shows are included with the opening acts Carl Perkins and The Statler Brothers. The third disk is a DVD which contains an 75 minute documentary about the show and Johnny Cash's views on prisoners rights. The first show is far and away a better show. The afternoon show Johnny sounds tired and loses his voice several times. Still there is an odd quality to the show none the less that makes it an intriguing listen. Johnny cash knew how to work a prison crowd and Carl Perkins got through his very short set on both shows well but the Statler Brothers a "family" friendly act if ever there was one, sounded as if they were scared shitless. On the first show they only had to do one song and got through it fine but on the second show they did 3 and by the third song they sounded as if they were going to puke. You can almost hear them thinking how fast can we get through Flowers on the wall? The two shows are more of an event than they are great listens. The San Quintin concert a year later is the much better show, still this is essential for Country music fans and better than anything coming out of Nashville today. What isn't? Documentary is also very interesting even if it's not 2 hours and 10 minutes like the box says. (They get that time by factoring the extra scenes you can watch as a bonus)
At Folsom Prison Johnny Cash Legacy Editon **** 1/2 out of ****
Matthew Shepard's murder was 'a hoax?!'
Here's the transcript:
Congresswoman Virginia Foxx:
"I also would like to point out that there was a bill -- the hate crimes bill that's called the Matthew Shepard bill is named after a very unfortunate incident that happened where a young man was killed, but we know that that young man was killed in the commitment of a robbery. It wasn't because he was gay. This -- the bill was named for him, hate crimes bill was named for him, but it's really a hoax that that continues to be used as an excuse for passing these bills,
No, Congresswoman. You're wrong.
The New York Times reported in 1998: "According to the local police and prosecutors, the two men lured Mr. Shepard out of a bar by saying they were gay. Then, the Laramie police say, the pair kidnapped Mr. Shepard, pistol-whipped him with a .357 Magnum, and left him tied to a ranch fence for 18 hours until a passing bicyclist spotted Mr. Shepard, who was unconscious."
Matthew Shepard died on October 12, 1998 Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado. He was 21.
He wasn't killed in the commitment of a robbery. He died because he was gay.
You've really hat a lot of nerve to say something like this, Congresswoman Foxx. You need to apologize for the Shepard family your insensitive remarks about their son.
Arleen Specter made the right choice in leaving you freaks in the GOP.
I Bet Janeane Is Quaking In Her Boots.

Swine Comments On The Swine Flu
During an interview with PajamasTV today, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) falsely claimed that the last swine flu outbreak occurred under "another Democrat President, Jimmy Carter." Bachmann, however, insisted she was not trying to blame either man for the outbreaks:
As TP points out the last outbreak of swine flu was in Feb. 1976 when Gerald Ford was President...A Republican. Stupid Bitch.BACHMANN: I find it interesting that it was back in the 1970s that the swine flu broke out then under Democrat President Jimmy Carter. And I'm not blaming this on President Obama, I just think it is an interesting coincidence.
Suicide Bob: It's The Tea Bag Loving O'Reilly And His Sycophants Who Love America.
Your comments on the Statue of Liberty holding a whip are outrageous. Bill O'Reilly is correct. It is too bad that the Obama administration flip flopped on the issue of prosecution of those who ordered the so-called torture (water-boarding) and published important CIA information so the terrorists are now perepared how to defend themselves during interrogation. Waterboarding is and was NOT torture. It leaves no marks and no injuries. Obamas own cabinet member (Blair) admitted that after water-boarding some of the terrorists spoke out and stated very important information that foiled planned future attacks.
It's too bad that Bill O'Reilly and a small group of people love the US, not like you socialists who think this is a joke. Obama's administration is going to get US into trouble, and the NY Times as a failing newspaper in the tank for Obama will do anything to increase their readership, including anti-American cartoon publication. I weep for my grandchildren.

Mark Noonan is full of shit
President Obama, presumptively, will also not want to spark off the second American Civil War but at the end of this road is just that.
So let me get this straight: you're willing to begins a second American Civil War because you want to be able to torture enemy combatants and get off scott free for it?
...such a theory leaves out the plain fact that leftists hate, with a white-hot passion, anyone who doesn’t toe the leftwing line.
You really don't know what the term, 'irony' is, do ya, Mark?
Whatever else may be assisting the motivation to prosecute Bush Administration figures, the primary impulse comes from hatred and a desire for revenge.
Since when did upholding our values and the belief that those who commit crimes (even the Commander-in-Chief) are to be held accountable as a reminder that no man is above the Rule of Law?
If there's anything I've taken from Noonan, its the fact that he shares a similar mindset of a religious extremist: he is firmly rooted in the belief that his side is engaged in a war between the forces of liberalism and the forces of conservatism (or from his point-of-view, the forces of good vs. evil), but the sad thruth is that Noonan's only enemies are reality and the voices he hears inside his head.

OK, I agree, living in America means you should learn English. But. We also have to do a better job– a WAY WAY better job– of learning foreign languages in order to communicate with other countries. Otherwise, we’ll continue to be seen as arrogant, and will lose a competitive edge against the rest of the world.
Also, if somebody says to you:
Cao ni, qu chi yingjing biaozhi, you’ll want to know what they’re saying.

Cao ni, qu chi yingjing biaozhi, you’ll want to know what they’re saying.

we’ll continue to be seen as arrogant, and will lose a competitive edge against the rest of the world.

when you are on top there is no need to lower your self.
When you are climbing the ladder to the top, it is YOU who has to make the sacrifices and adjustments…

Come on people... Most reasonable and rational Americans are just sick and tired of politics, politicians, and big government. History has shown us that bigger and more intrusive government has never been successful in truly advancing the human condition anywhere in the world... "We The People" have made our nation the greatest country on earth, not our government. Sadly, the ultra partisan political system here in America has a vested interested in keeping the American people divided and dependent on bigger and bigger government... and all of you ultra partisan bloggers have bought right into it.

@JS02: I was a paramedic EMT for nearly 15 years. I know what I’m talking about better than you obviously do. You’re full of BS about how to rationalize away what I’m saying, but although you love to say waterboarding isn’t torture you don’t dare try anything close to it, because it would be a torturous experience to you.
NO YOU DO NOT…………you are speaking out of your clymer!
W.B was used in Viet Nam, we (Marines) were all trained in various techniques,
The NVA DID torture and it wasnt a few drops of water in the nose……….you are a complete hysterical, reactionary woman.

If you looking for means to permanently poison American politics and, perhaps, set the stage for Civil War II, then go right ahead. But I will advise that we on our side will not tolerate the criminalization of our political views.
Since when did using techniques, like waterboarding, become part of the agenda of any political party? And not only defend it, but proudly state that prosecuting said technique amounts to attackig someone's political views?

What Is a 3600-Billion Dollar Budget?
You are all joking, right? The fact that you don't see through this tawdry publicity stunt shows how blind you really are! The idea that someone would propose a 3600-billion dollar budget, then advertise that he's going to save 100-million dollars, is an insult to the intelligence of all of us.
Not to mention the fact that they have 90 days to find this 100 million, by which time this cheap stunt will be long forgotten.
Remember the 90% tax on the AIG bonuses that the Dems in Congress were going to pass? Oh yeah, gee, whatever happened to that one!

Jesus.
I've seen some beatdowns in my time, but this.....My God.....
Fourteen runs given up in the 2nd inning???
And the final tally adds up to the Indians embarrassing the Bronx Bombers 22-4??
Wang (0-3) was charged with eight runs and eight hits in 1 1-3 innings, giving him a 34.50 ERA in three starts this year. He went 5-0 with a 3.23 ERA in six April starts last season.
“Actually, I thought he threw more good sinkerballs today but that inning got out of hand and we need to fix that,” Girardi said. “We have some time. We have a day off I think Thursday and we’re going to have to decide what’s best for Chien-Ming Wang and the team.”
The Yankees could skip Wang’s next turn in the rotation but Girardi said the team hasn’t made a decision yet.
Peralta doubled in two more runs after Wang left and Asdrubal Cabrera hit a drive to right on a 3-1 pitch for his first homer of the year. Sizemore followed Cabrera’s shot with his fourth homer to make it 14-2 as the crowd booed loudly.
And yet, that's not the half of it.......
By then, the party was on in the Indians’ dugout.
“There’s some funny stuff that’s said,” DeRosa said. “Obviously Garko made the first out and didn’t want to make another out in the same inning.”
They're the best team money can buy.
They've got a new, 1.5 billion dollar ballpark.
And the Tribe smacked them around worse than when Ike smacked around Tina.

Today, after eleven years, my cat Soxy passed on to the great liter box in they sky.
He loved chasing the dog around, fighting for food and affection, loafing around, roaming outdoors, and snuggling up to us.
He was a good pet - I guess that's all we can really ask for.
I hope he knows that I loved him deeply, and that I tried to take care of him to the best of my ability.

RIP Harry Kalas 1936-2009.
WASHINGTON (AP)—Longtime Philadelphia Phillies broadcaster Harry Kalas, who punctuated innumerable home runs with his “Outta here!” call, died Monday after being found passed out in the broadcast booth before a game against the Washington Nationals. He was 73.
We lost our voice today,” team president David Montgomery said, his voice cracking. “He has loved our game and made just a tremendous contribution to our sport and certainly to our organization.”Kalas was discovered by the Phillies director of broadcasting about 12:30 p.m. and taken to a local hospital, Montgomery said.
Kalas had surgery earlier this year for an undisclosed ailment that the team characterized as minor. He looked somewhat drawn last week as the Phillies opened the season at home.
Kalas joined the Phillies in 1971. Before that, he was a member of the Houston Astros’ broadcast team from 1965-70. In 2002, he received the Baseball Hall of Fame’s Ford C. Frick Award for his contributions to the game.
“Players come and go, but ‘Outta here!’—that’s forever,” said Scott Franzke, a Phillies radio broadcaster.
Kalas lent his sonorous voice to everything from puppies to soup. He did work for NFL Films, was the voice for Chunky Soup commercials and Animal Planet’s annual tongue-in-cheek Super Bowl competitor, the Puppy Bowl.
Kalas will be missed. In addition to Philies baseball he also called football on the radio for westwood one. Admittedly I am not a baseball guy so I do not know how good of a baseball announcer he was but I do know the folks in Philadelphia loved him. His voice and delivery didn't not work as well for calling football live but as a narrator for NFL films he was outstanding. He also was the narrator for Prime Sports' (Now Fox sports network) weekly Big 8 football highlight show and narrated the the 1993 Nebraska football highlight film. RIP. Mr. Kalas.

Well The Jokes Do Write Themselves.
Glenn Beck is going to do stand up
NEW YORK (AP) -- Fox News Channel's latest sensation is taking a comedy act on the road.
Glenn Beck says he will do a live comedy show over six nights, starting June 1 in Denver.
He calls himself a "poor man's Seinfeld." Beck will mix stand-up comedy with observations from a modern-day reimagining of Thomas Paine's 1776 pamphlet "Common Sense."
Oh he's going to read a pamphlet he doesn't understand. Man I bet this will be just a laugh riot.
Since joining Fox's schedule in January, Beck has nearly doubled the ratings for his late-afternoon time slot.
4 people watch Fox now instead of 2 as before.
He's been criticized for over-the-top knocks on President Barack Obama and been a frequent lampoon target of Comedy Central's Stephen Colbert.
What does it say
Here are a few of the comments from Little Green Footballs(?)
1. VegasRick 4/10/09 9:20:21 am
Uh oh. It seemed like such a good idea.
2. Occasional Reader 4/10/09 9:20:55 am
Looks like the Tea Party people need to switch to decaf.
3. Mr. In get Mr. Out 4/10/09 9:21:18 am

Wingnuts on the Right, moonbats on the Left....It's hard to know where the middle is, or even if I want to be in the middle of this craziness.
6. Phocid 4/10/09 9:22:40 am
The right is having the same problems as the left, infiltration by loons. The left welcomed the loons with open arms (Code Pink, Michael Moore etc). What will the right do?
7. Erik The Red 4/10/09 9:22:43 am
I thought the idea of the tea parties was a good one. Unfortunately they seem to have been hijacked by the kooky right.
Where are all the sane Conservatives?
20. NYCHardhat 4/10/09 9:25:39 am
This makes conservatives look bad.
36. opnion 4/10/09 9:28:41 am
Glen Beck does a lot more harm than good. His exterme comments, crying and addled behavior is disturbing.
Glenn Beck, are you listening?

More Nonsensical Bullshit From FVG
The liberals' only defense against the proven failure of their "value" system is to point out some of the things about America that could have been fixed without having to become afflicted with liberals' inferior, destructive, and failed "values".

It's hilarious when liberals pretend they respect the U.S. Constitution...were you just trying to lighten things up around here?
Liberals hate the Constitution and see it as an impediment to their quest for power over more and more of their fellow citizens' lives

So Many Teabag Jokes So Little Time
"potentially violent tea party goers..."
Based on what? Markos Moulitsas' inane comments?
Damail | 04.11.09 - 1:15 pm | #
I wonder how many times Damail has tea-bagged Oh nevermind
There sure is a lot of anger on the Left as exemplified by comments in this thread.
There could be 200+ tea parties around the country this week. If they are well attended (which is a possibility) and if Fox is the only major news outlet that covers them does that make Fox biased? Or does that make the other networks biased?
If these tea parties were being organized by left-leaning people I believe they would be getting significantly more coverage.
As for Fox, their ratings obliterate the competitors. Yes, they are more right-wing than other networks. But does that make them down-the-middle and the others left-of-center? Or do Americans prefer their news with through a right-wing prism? Either way, not good news for the Left.
Just some things to think about... Or to rail against with personal attacks and profanity, aka the MO of the Left.

Dr. Laura is a successful businesswoman who achieved that success without government assistance. She's a champion for traditional values, the values this country has largely abandoned in favor of the type of leftist "values" that have caused increased drug use, increased fatherless predator thugs, lowered aademic performance, eliminated personal responsibility, and led to most of the mortgage failures that caused the economic crisis.
No wonder liberals have such rage and hatred for Dr. Laura.
FVG | 04.11.09 - 8:07 am | #
Liberals know that their "values" are what's behind the demise of the American family and all the damage that has resulted. Liberal "values" are what causes teenagers to have babies they can't support. Liberal "values" are why we have multi-generational welfare clients--grandma, mom, and kids all living in the projects and living off the work of others. Liberal "values" are the reason our schools have failed and continue to get worse--remember that liberals and their teachers unions run the schools. Liberal "values" are behind the decay and failure of most big cities--they run most of them, after all.
That's why liberals can only engage in nothing but ad hominem attacks against the folks, like Dr. Laura, who remind them of the fact that liberal "values" are the reason America has fallen behind in so many ways. When America had American values instead of liberal "values" we were in much better shape overall.

Rep. Spencer Bachus has a list, people!
A list of members in the House of Representatives that are known socialists and have infiltrated the government, and he plans to name names!
....trouble is that, the list is "a secret."
Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-Ala.) puts the number of socialists in the House at 17.
"Some of the men and women I work with in Congress are socialists," Bachus told local government leaders on Thursday, according to the Birmingham News.
Bachus gave the specific number of House socialists when pressed later by a reporter.
He made the comments during a breakfast in Birmingham in which he praised President Obama. Bachus said that Obama is a better listener than President Bush, but that Obama was being steered to the left by Congress.
Oh, please Congressman Bachus....political witch hunts are so 1950's.

Another Praise A Thon Has Come And Gone
Did you sew your $1000 dollar vow of faith?
Here's what I learned from this past weeks praise-a-thon.
Some preacher just before asking for a thousand dollars claimed he was not one of those "Money hungry" preachers.
One preacher saw on Fox News (natch) before he came on that North Korea was about to launch A rocket so we should give a thousand dollars.
The same said preacher claimed that another job would not help my financial situation but giving to a thousand dollars to him would.
The Lord has only talked to Paul Crouch 5 or 6 times in his life but one of those times the Lord clearly said satellites.
On Thursday Paul figured he needed about a million dollars in pledges.
Every month TBN has a 3 million dollar debt every month and has never been late.
Some preacher claimed his back ground was that of a Muslim and his great great great grand father was Muhammad's best friend. I guess we were suppose to let the fact that this is of course impossible just past right by us.
Grandmas shouldn't put money in the bank they should give to TBN.
The End times are coming soon. So give now. ( I still haven't figured this one out.)
The Devil hates wealth and power in the hands of the Godly. I learned this cause the guy repeated it 50 times.
The Numbers preacher Steve somebody or other says God told him the story of the 2 fishes and 5 loaves and it clearly meant that 250 people should give 25 dollars a month for 10 months.
I am sure there is a lot more I am forgetting now.

“Never in the history of our great nation has a sitting president ventured onto foreign soil and so bluntly criticized the United States. A president who conducts himself in this manner leaves little doubt that he is unfit for the office that he holds and is incapable of leading this nation during these times of economic crisis and military conflict.”
Uh, loving your country also means to have a lover's quarrel with its decisions and policies. It's the only we will strive to create what the Founders said in the Declaration in 1776, "...to create a more perfect union..."
Also, what's the deal with people speaking ugly, unfortunate truths about our nation? We can't just sweep our sins under the rug, pretend like they never happened, and never speak of them again.

Rep. Michele Bachmann, who has levied the most bizarre and outlandish critiques against President Obama since before he came into office, did not disappoint this weekend.
Appearing on Minnesota radio station KTLK-AM, (h/t Minnesota Independent) the Republican congresswoman expressed her concern that White House was trying to put in place "re-education camps for young people, where young people have to go and get trained in a philosophy that the government puts forward." I Will Post This Here As Well.
I refuse to make a 14 year old a full fledged member of this gang because who knows once he gets done suckling on his Mommies titties he might amount to something other than Sean Hannity's pool boy. But lil 14 year Jonathan Krohn is one to keep an eye on for the future. Who knows in 4 years If this place is still here lil Johnny may be our #1 poster child. 18 Year olds is eligible. (The grammar error is intentional.) Though somehow I think by then his ship will have crashed and he will be just another deep neo-con thinker whose bright promise flamed out much too soon from Michelob, ass kickings and...you know real life.
For Now he's being home schooled...of course. What better way is there than homeschooling to brain wash a child? This way he gets kept away from pesky things like facts while his texts books are written by Coulter, O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage, Beck, Horrowitz and Goldberg Both Bernard and Bill. Not to mention the real deep text books written by true thinkers like Rand, Gingrich, Chuck Norris and the Ultimate Warrior. Of course when he get's to Harvard and learns there are thousands of other kids who are 100 times smarter than he is and his professors tell him that Reagan didn't create the world, invent the wheel and take down Communism all by himself at the same time he will undoubtedly run to Fox News and scream "liberal bias" to O'Reilly and Hannity at the top of his lungs.
But give credit where credit is due. Little Johnny may not have any social skills since he's never been around other kids his own age or had a friend in his life but he's clearly discovered Mary Jane. Look at those eyes.
That little fucker is high as a kite. But then in his defense 14 is the age when certain parts of our bodies start to act in mysterious ways at 4 in the morning. For most of us it's because of that girl in English who sits in front of us and wears those short skirts. For Jonathan Krohn it's because Michelle Maglalang took him to Quisnos and Savage autographed his copy of Savage Nation. If we were this this little turd we would spend our lives getting high as well.
Partial credit for this goes to our good friend Zirgar for reminding me on his blog what this kids name was. I read about him in the NY. Times but wrote him off as a little 14 year old snot who parrots what his Mommy tells him and has never had a friend except his teddy bear which he named Rusty Beck Savage. Great irony poster by the way.

National Championship Set.
VS
On the topic. Michigan State beat UCONN (Connecticut) tonight. For those of you who do not know there are storm clouds on the horizon for Connecticut's basketball program. And what they did must be fairly serious because the NCAA doesn't make a habit of coming down on programs that make the NCAA money unless they have been really bad boys. ( Oklahoma football about every 10 years or so) UCONN Coach Jim Calhoun who is undoubtedly a very fine coach is apparently thinking of getting out and leaving UCONN holding the bag.
I hate it when coaches do this and are allowed to do it. They get the school in trouble then they turn around and haul ass with out facing the consequences. Meanwhile another coach will have to pay for the misdeeds of Calhoun if he should leave now. Calhoun himself will undoubtedly come back to coaching after two years of working for ESPN because he missed the game and he missed the kids only to leave once that school gets put on probation to the shock of the AD that hired him.DETROIT -- Connecticut coach Jim Calhoun has always said he would not make any decisions about his future after a tough defeat.
But the disappointment of losing to the underdog Spartans, coupled with frustration over allegations that Calhoun's program violated NCAA recruiting rules, bubbled over after the Huskies' 82-73 loss to Michigan State in the national semifinals on Saturday night.
"Those kind of things, that's why Dean Smith told me at 67 he got out," Calhoun said, referring to North Carolina's retired Hall of Fame coach. "It wasn't basketball. It was the other things.
"I love the kids, love the game. I don't plan to go anyplace. But I'm going to give a lot of reflection, maybe more reflection than normal, because of that," the 66-year Hall of Famer said.
Yahoo! Sports recently reported former Connecticut recruit Nate Miles was given lodging, transportation, meals and representation by sports agent Josh Nochimson, and that a UConn assistant coach knew about the relationship between the player and the agent.
Is The Johnston Family Quaking In Their Boots...Or Laughing Their Asses Off?
Levi Johnston is in big trouble at the Sarah Palin household.
After taking about sex on "The Tyra Banks Show," Johnston – the 18-year-old father of Bristol Palin's baby – was hit with a blistering response from Bristol's mother, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
"Bristol did not even know Levi was going on the show. We're disappointed that Levi and his family, in a quest for fame, attention, and fortune, are engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion of their relationship," says the statement from the Palin family rep.
"Bristol's focus will remain on raising Tripp, completing her education, and advocating abstinence," the statement continues. "It is unfortunate that Levi finds it more appealing to exploit his previous relationship with Bristol than to contribute to the well being of the child."
The statement ends, saying, "Bristol realizes now that she made a mistake in her relationship and is the one taking responsibility for their actions."
______________________________________________________
I love this...
in a quest for fame, attention, and fortune, are engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion of their relationship," says the statement from the Palin family rep.
Oh The irony. This is of course an undoubtedly true statement. But since Levi's mother is neither Governor nor the vice presidential nominee of a major political party they are forced to go on Tyra to further their quest for fame, attention, and fortune, while engaging in flat-out lies and gross exaggeration. Bristol on the other hand only needs Mommy to blow a Sean Hannity a good one and she's got untold time in front of the camera.
Then there is of course this gem...
"Bristol's focus will remain on raising Tripp, completing her education, and advocating abstinence,"
Oh really?
Keep fighting the good fight on advocating abstinence there Bristol. As for Levi Johnston. He's White trash scum only interested in the fame but it was Sarah Palin, also White trash scum only interested in the fame, who made sure he would get his 15 minutes. It's Sarah Palin that keeps this story a live. If it weren't for you Sarah these two would be just two more teens who happened to make a dumbass mistake but instead in your quest for fame, attention, and fortune, with your engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion of their relationship," You have made this a story that just won't go away as much as we want it to.

Glenn Beck Mocks The Handicapped.
Glenn "I can't keep a dry eye because I love my country so much" Beck showed just what kind of a heart he has in this clip where he mocked President Barack Obama's aunt and, in particular, the fact that she has a limp. As Huffington Post noted, the president's aunt's immigration case could have served as a springboard for a substantive discussion on immigration policy. But for Beck, it was just another excuse to mug for the camera at someone else's expense. Huffington Post has the video.
I don't get this.
Per Wiki...
By his first marriage, Beck has two teenage daughters, Hannah and Mary, who has cerebral palsy.
So somebody who has a daughter with Cerebral Palsy mocks others who are handicapped?
Now you see why those of us with Cerebral Palsy mock Glenn Beck.
Oh Great Another Graduate From Ayn Rand University
For one thing, I am not a Neo-Con. I am not a Republican either although I tend to vote that way.
I consider myself a Libertarian with Conservative leanings.
I am for Freedom and Liberty for the individual above all. I am against Group think and collectivism and statism.
I believe in limited Government.
I believe in equal opportunity but am against forcing the equality of outcomes.
I also believe that Capitalism can go too far without regulation but regulation has to be limited and effective. (the problem with government regulation is the injection of politics. The motives of government regulation are not always pristine. there is always the question of why did they do it that way? Who benefits? Who loses?)
With all that said I watch Hannity some times and listen to him on the radio.
I watched the episode that is in the context of this posting.
It seems to me; the main contention was that Hannity was making the point that President Obama is a Socialist. All the evidence of his life experience and what he has done as President supports that belief. Whether you believe in Socialism or not, he is a Socialist.
Layla Kayleigh disagreed with his assessment although she gave no reason for her disagreement. She also said that we need to stop attacking Obama’s policies and come together as a people. Conservatives believe that his policies are antithetical to what this country was founded on and what has made us the beacon for freedom and prosperity in the world (which was another bone of contention that Layla Kayleigh didn’t seem to want to address after being asked several times.) and mainly that his policies could do irrevocable harm to the country. So there probably isn’t going to be a whole lot of support or coming together on these issues. On the issue whether Hannity called some people un-patriotic to me was irrelevant. So what if he did? Does that mean that none of the points he was raising were valid?
I’m invalidating you points because you called me a name!!
Bush was brutalized in the press. Some pretty mean spirited things were said about him. And, as for needing evidence that the enemy was more encouraged to fight because of the level of attacks against bush and his war policy? Come on! That really is a no brainer. All you have to do is put yourself in that situation. What would you do? Let me see, the public's resolve to win this war in my enemy's country is really low and they are giving their leader hell over this war so my guess is if we can just keep killing a shitload of his soldiers, they will eventually lose the will to fight and pull out. And that is probably what the thoughts of the folks protesting the war were. Not that more soldiers would be killed but that because of the level of opposition, the president would cut and run ending the war. We'll, there was no way we would have cut and run and left that country in KAOS. Even though Obama ran on doing just that, he isn’t pulling out either. So you have an energized enemy with us not leaving equals more dead soldiers. It may not be scientific but it is a pretty easy cause and effect to make.

John McCain Channels Inner Lou Dobbs
On March 11, Sens. John McCain (R-AZ), John Thune (R-SD) and Mel Martinez (R-FL) met with a group of Hispanic business leaders in the Capitol’s Strom Thurmond Room as part of an effort to reach out to Hispanic voters. National Journal is reporting that several participants in the meeting said McCain got “angry” while talking about immigration. At one point, McCain reportedly began referring to Hispanics as “you people“:
“He was angry,” one source said. “He was over the top. In some cases, he rolled his eyes a lot. There were portions of the meeting where he was just staring at the ceiling, and he wasn’t even listening to us. We came out of the meeting really upset.”
McCain’s message was obvious, the source continued: After bucking his party on immigration, he had no sympathy for Hispanics who are dissatisfied with President Obama’s pace on the issue. “He threw out [the words] ‘You people — you people made your choice. You made your choice during the election,’ ” the source said. “It was almost as if [he was saying] ‘You’re cut off!’ We felt very uncomfortable when we walked away from the meeting because of that.”
...
But one person’s straight talk is another person’s vitriol. “My hands were shaking,” one source said. “I was nervous as no-end.” The senator’s comments went on for several minutes at least. And by the end of the meeting, another participant, who had supported McCain in last year’s presidential election, was so shaken by the display of temper that he decided it is good that McCain isn’t in the White House.
Well...He Admit's He Admits He's A Neaderthal Uneducated Conservative.
Attacking Obama's Socialist domestic agenda (He is a Radical Socialist. That’s not even arguable) has nothing to do with his war policy. As a matter of fact, I don't think there has been much or any criticism on his handling of the war so far. Not to mention, attacking his domestic policy isn’t going to get any of our brave sons and daughters killed overseas (which was the connection Ellen was trying to make with her preposterous analogy). His domestic policy will have disastrous consequences for all of us, not just the rich. Even you Liberals are going to end up wishing you never elected him. If you think $4.00 a gallon for gasoline was bad, that’s nothing compared to what’s going to happen when his “Cap and Trade” (Read “Energy Tax”) initiative becomes law.

How pathetic...
I was wondering what kind of blunders would be committed by Team Obama overseas… well… apparently, they blundered the scheduling, and Obama thinks it is appropriate to give the Queen of England an iPod as a gift… when she already has one.
Embarrassing.

Again, Obama just nods his head, smiles, and sweats and sweats until the tele prompter is brought in to tell him what to do. He may learn something from this, ha ha.
This is embarrasing, but I hope it gives people an idea as to the stuff this guy is made of. The Queen of England is a lady of refined taste, and culture. Surely BHO could’ve thought of something better to give. :(
Bloch … If the same gifts were given by President Bush, you wouldn’t think they were excellent choices. You would say he’s shallow, and uncouthe. And in reality, anyone that gives an I-Pod to a Queen … it does seem shallow and uncouthe. She is a Queen, she is a symbol of rule and an age old Dynasty of Ritual that has been intact for Thousands of years. She represents what the Middle and Dark Ages were made of. Take a look back at early history, and if you’re into it, look at the Wars of the Roses. There is much to be learned as to the history of Kings and Queens there. I do believe something a bit more suitable would’ve been in order for this Lady of most high position. A rare painting, or a painting crafted especially for her by a Master Artist, or a Model Medieval Warship to be hung in the Queens Courts … I don’t know, those are just suggestions.
But seriously, Obama is just a man, try to take a subjective look at him once in a while, Bloch. He isn’t a god, no matter how much you think he is. He has the potential to do things right, he just doesn’t know how. But he could, if he’d pay attention, and get away from those tele-prompters.
People said Sarah Palin wasn’t cut for the job … my goodness, BHO is a suitable alternative? We need help.
