Most of what I still follow and kvetch about, to ET Spouse's chagrin, is lower-48 politics.

On the whole I think people are pretty well informed. Since elections can come up randomly and campaigns only last for 6 weeks in this Parliamentary system, attention seems to be more focused, since it's not all spread out over an environment of perpetual campaigning. Even I know what's going on with the Conservatives, Liberals, Greens, NDPs and the Bloc Quebecois.

That said, I'm sure you will find more people engaged with the Stanley Cup playoffs than the election. Nature of the beast. ;-)ethttp://rr-for-president.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3538186867576403896.post-21296433171253458512011-04-13T02:11:42.498-05:002011-04-13T02:11:42.498-05:00BTW do you find what I was saying about Americans ...BTW do you find what I was saying about Americans either not knowing or not carrying about what is going on in their world to be the same with Canadians or not as much? I was shocked that somebody could not know what was going on with the government shutdown but I know my friend wasn't the only person by far.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3538186867576403896.post-40760392055790404692011-04-13T02:10:08.628-05:002011-04-13T02:10:08.628-05:00Oh no doubt blogs will survive because most are ru...Oh no doubt blogs will survive because most are run by people who are how can I put this nicely? far less lazy than I. Maybe there are just too many avenues of communication out there, and we're all far too tapped into them for our own good.

I think blogs will endure, though, because they do come with a stated and obvious point of view. Our own business' blog gets lots of hits but very few comments. I think you can rest assured that what you post here is both received and understood, even if it feels a little sparse.ethttp://rr-for-president.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
